Stick Jacket Big Game 6 Rod Cover

Keep your longer outfits organized before the trip even starts. Stick Jacket Big Game 6 is a flexible mesh rod sleeve that adds a layer between your rod and neighboring gear during everyday storage and transport. Covering the blank and guides helps reduce routine rubbing and makes a bundle of rods easier to manage.

This model accommodates rods up to 8 ft 6 in long and comes in Black or Blue. Give each outfit its own color, and you can spend less time sorting through similar-looking setups when it is time to load the vehicle or boat.

Less Rubbing Between Trips

Loose rods can rub against each other, while exposed guides can catch nearby lines. A sleeve keeps a protective layer around the covered portion of the outfit without the bulk of a hard case. That makes it useful for routine organization, but flexible mesh is not crush protection. Use a rigid protective case when heavy loads or impacts could damage your gear.

The Right Cover Starts with Fit

Best for: organizing appropriately sized saltwater and freshwater rods, separating bait and lure outfits, and keeping longer setups covered in storage or on the way to the water. Anglers carrying live-bait, jig, or other technique-specific outfits can use the two colors to distinguish setups. Choose by rod length and clearance over the largest guide, not by target species alone.

Use the sleeve between fishing sessions and remove it before casting, trolling, or working a lure. If your rod needs a longer cover, compare the Stick Jacket Big Game 7, listed for rods up to 9 ft 6 in. Check the full fit of either model before choosing; extra length alone does not guarantee guide clearance.

Simple Details That Make Packing Easier

Check clearance over your largest guide before fitting the cover. Never force mesh over a guide that catches.

Tackle Express Tips

• Assign Black to one group of outfits and Blue to another, such as bait rods versus lure rods. Keep the same system in your rod rack and on the boat.
• Slide the cover on gently and reposition it if it catches. Avoid using extra force around guides or the rod tip.
• Keep exposed hooks out of the mesh. Use a Stick Jacket Plug Jacket for separate coverage of a tied-on lure to help reduce hook snags during transport.

Before You Sleeve Your Outfit

Does Big Game 6 mean it only fits a 6 ft rod?
No. The rod-length fit for this model is up to 8 ft 6 in. Check your rod's length and guide clearance rather than choosing by the model number.

How many covers are included?
One sleeve per pack, in your selected Black or Blue color.

Will this fit every rod under 8 ft 6 in?
Length is only part of the fit. The sleeve also needs to pass comfortably over the largest guide. Do not force it onto a rod with insufficient clearance.

Does it protect my reel or replace a travel case?
No. This is a flexible rod sleeve, not a reel cover or rigid case. Protect your reel separately and use structural protection when crushing or heavy impacts are possible.
