Lead Torpedo Weights are used on almost any saltwater fishing trip in Southern California.  These are the staple weight used to get your bait to the bottom for fish like halibut, rock fish, white sea bass, calico bass, white fish, and many other species. The two brass ends allow for multiple rigging styles.

Lead Masters Glow Egg Sinkers have one of the best glow paints we've seen.  They absorb the light quickly and stay lit for a long time.  The smooth surface inside the sinker won't damage your line.  

These are great for night fishing or for fish that are attracted to light.  We've noticed that many time in low light or in deep water, the glow of an egg sinker is enough to bring fish from a long way off and tends to get them to bite better than a regular egg sinker.

Phenix Finesse Slider Weights are exactly like the Mojo weights we used to know and love! Perfect for split-shotting and carolina rigging due to their long, cylindrical shape. This shape also allows them to come through cover and rocks with ease.

Lead Egg Sinkers can be used in so many ways while fishing it's hard to say how the best way to use them is.  For live bait fishing offshore in Southern California, we use them most often to get our bait deeper in the column.  Often times the bird will eat your bait and just a little weight can get it out of reach of the birds and in the mouth of the fish.

The drop shot technique has become a popular and highly efficient method of rigging a worm to catch fish. Originating in Japan for catching pressured fish, it has been fine-tuned in California and is now used wherever bass and water are present. Water Gremlin Round Split Shot Sinkers have been a staple for many years.  They can be used in simple presentations or complex ones involving multiple weights while drifting for steelhead.  The round shape doesn't get stuck as easy since it doesn't have the wings.  It is harder to get off if you want to save it for another outing.  

Team Davies Tear Shot Tungsten Worm Weights are 99% tungsten and do not have a sleeve inside.  There is a lot of talk about what is better, sleeve or no sleeve.  We prefer no sleeve because the sleeve can cause abrasion on the ends but can also fall out.  When it falls out, it's rougher in the inside than it would have been had it no sleeve at all.  When it starts out with no sleeve, the inside is smooth and usually has a powder paint coating to deter any nicks or damage to your line.  We've had more problems with sleeved weights than non sleeve and Team Davies agrees.  We have never had a complaint for over 4 years and we think these are a great value for a great product.

Some anglers like the sleeve, others prefer it without.  We haven't noticed any difference between the two but maybe on light line it would cause chaffing on the line.
