The 7'2" 2X Heavy and 3X Heavy are considered rail rods with a longer foregrip.  You may ask yourself "Why would I want a rod that long and that heavy?"  The longer rod is necessary for a rail rod because so much of the rod is fore grip.  When the fore grip is put on the rail, you may have only 4-5 feet of the rod actually fighting the fish.  The more rod you have outside the rail, on the water side of the rail, the more the fish has to fight.  This makes it much easier for the angler to fight the fish because the fulcrum is now the rail and not your arms.

Being fisherman ourselves we take pride in not having rods break during shipping, to ensure they'll be enjoyed and fished. We make sure every rod is wrapped tightly with bubble wrap in the crucial areas and are suspended in a thick rod tube, to keep from being crushed or banged around.

The Daiwa Spinmatic 4 Piece Rods are perfect for when you need a lightweight and compact rod for trout or panfish. These packable rods break down into 4 equal lengths so if you need to know the size of the rod when broken down, just divide the rod by 4 and add a couple inches for the case.  Each rod has its own carrying case with rod specs printed on it so you know which rod you're taking on your trip.  We like the action of these rods and the ultralight feel.  Perfect for light line applications in the 2-6 pound range.  These travel fishing rods sell fast so if you see them in stock, I would seriously consider getting one.  Couple it with a 500 or 1000 size reel and you have the ultimate pack rod setup.
