Bobbers and Floats

Keep your bait or jig at a chosen depth without fixing a bobber in one place on your line. Beau Mac EZ-Drift Inline Slider Floats let line travel through the float until it reaches your bobber stop, giving you an adjustable-depth presentation for salmon, steelhead and California white seabass fishing. This EDF1 pack includes two 1 oz floats, two bobber stops and four red beads.

Set the Depth, Follow the Drift

A sliding float makes it easier to fish a deeper presentation than a fixed bobber allows comfortably on a short casting rig. Move the stop to change your fishing depth, then let the bait or jig settle beneath the float. The black PE foam body is topped with chartreuse and fluorescent orange accents to help you track it on the surface.

Choose this style when you want to suspend a jig or bait above bottom, follow a river drift, or present squid or mackerel along a kelp edge. In current, manage slack so excess line does not pull the float ahead of your offering. Around kelp, leave enough clearance to keep the rig away from fronds and structure.

A Better Fit for Adjustable-Depth Fishing

Best for: float-and-jig presentations for salmon and steelhead, bait suspended beneath a sliding float, and white seabass bait presentations near California kelp lines. It is a useful choice when depth changes between drifts or fishing spots.

The trade-off is a little more rigging than a clip-on bobber: you need a properly seated stop and bead, plus a balanced terminal rig. Choose a smaller float for delicate, lightly weighted presentations if this 1 oz size is more than your setup needs. Strong current, wind and heavy bait can also change how the float sits, so test the complete rig before fishing.

Simple Components, Useful Control

• Inline slider design allows line to move through the float to the stop.
• PE foam construction.
• Black body with chartreuse and fluorescent orange visibility accents.
• Two floats per pack, with two bobber stops and four red beads.
• Adjustable-depth setup for freshwater and saltwater float presentations.

Build Your Float Rig

Install a bobber stop on the main line, followed by a bead and the inline float. Add the terminal rig suited to your bait or jig, then slide the stop to set the distance between the float and your offering. Check that the bead cannot pass through the float opening and that the stop holds its position under fishing tension.

For a bait setup, pair an appropriately sized Owner Mutu Light Circle Hook with your chosen bait. Use Seaguar Blue Label Fluorocarbon Leader in a strength appropriate to the species, cover and tackle. Match hook size and leader strength to the situation rather than to the float alone.

Tackle Express Tips

• Test the rig beside the bank or boat first. Adjust weight and bait size until the float rides visibly rather than being pulled under by the rig.
• Start with your offering clear of bottom or kelp, then change the stop position in small increments to find the productive depth.
• Check the stop after repeated casts and after landing a fish. A slipping stop can quietly change your presentation.

Questions Before Your First Drift

Is this a fixed bobber or a sliding float?
It is an inline sliding float. The line travels through the float, and a bobber stop sets the fishing depth.

What comes in the EDF1 package?
Two 1 oz floats, two bobber stops and four red beads. Hooks, leader, bait and additional terminal tackle are separate.

Can I use these for white seabass as well as salmon and steelhead?
Yes. Float presentations with squid or mackerel along California kelp lines are another use for this style. Balance the complete rig and set the depth to avoid nearby structure.

Can I fish a jig beneath the float?
Yes. Choose a jig and any additional weight that allow the float to remain visible and responsive, and adjust the stop to keep the jig at your target depth.

The Eagle Claw Balsa Slip Float works great for all types of freshwater fish.  The slip through design combined with a Eagle Claw Bobber Knot With Beads allows you to fish at any depth.

Eagle Claw Spin Floats add adjustable casting weight when you want to fish a small fly or light lure on spinning tackle. Add water to the clear plastic float to change its weight, helping you cast a presentation that may be difficult to throw on its own. Each package contains 2 floats in your selected size.

Why use a water-weighted float?

• Adjustable casting weight: Change the water level to suit the rig and casting conditions.
• Small-lure versatility: A practical option for presenting flies or small spoons to trout with spinning gear.
• Clear body: Provides a transparent alternative to brightly colored floats.

Specifications and sizes

• Brand: Eagle Claw
• Type: Water-weighted spin float
• Material / color: Clear plastic
• Shape: Oval
• Size options: 1 inch, 2 inches, or 2 1/2 inches
• Quantity: 2 floats per package

Choose and tune your setup

Choose the smallest float that gives your setup the casting control you need. A larger size provides more room for water, but also changes the rig's overall bulk. Size labels describe the float; they are not weight ratings.

Start with a small amount of water and make a short test cast. Add water gradually while keeping the complete rig within your rod's lure-weight rating. Test the assembled presentation at the water's edge before casting farther, since water level and lure weight both affect how it behaves.

3 Tackle Express Tips

1. Tune before reaching for distance. Make short casts first. Stop adding water once the rig casts comfortably; extra weight is not always an improvement.
2. Cast with a smooth motion. Avoid an abrupt snap when the float and lure are separated by a leader. Check for tangles after each cast before starting your retrieve.
3. Check the closure. After adjusting the water level, make sure the filling opening is closed securely. Recheck if the float's behavior changes unexpectedly.

Frequently asked questions

How many floats are included?

There are 2 floats per pack, both in the size you select.

Does it come pre-weighted?

The adjustable weight comes from water you add. This lets you tune the setup instead of relying on one fixed casting weight.

Can I use it to cast a fly with a spinning rod?

Yes. Eagle Claw identifies small flies as an intended application for this water-weighted float.

How much water should I add?

There is no single fill level for every setup. Start low, test the cast and presentation, and increase gradually while respecting your rod's rating.

The Lead Masters Rattlin' Bob Bobber is a fishing float with an internal rattle that produces sound while the bobber sits in the water — the rattle attracts fish to the area and draws attention to the bait suspended below. The rattling action is generated by the natural movement of the water on the float, requiring no additional angler input to produce sound. The high-visibility yellow orange color provides maximum visibility on the water surface for easy strike detection. Effective for trout, panfish, and any species targeted under a float.

Key Features

• Internal Rattle — Sound Attraction — The defining feature of the Rattlin' Bob; the internal rattle produces a clicking or rattling sound as the bobber moves on the water surface; the sound attracts fish from a distance and draws attention to the bait suspended below the float; the rattle is activated by natural water movement, wind chop, and current — no additional angler input required to produce sound.
• High-Visibility Yellow Orange — The yellow orange color provides maximum visibility on the water surface for easy strike detection; high-contrast color is visible in a wide range of light conditions including overcast skies, low-light morning and evening fishing, and on choppy water where a low-visibility float would be difficult to track.
• Standard Float Function — Functions as a standard fishing float for suspending bait at a set depth; the rattle adds an attraction element to a conventional float presentation without changing the fundamental float-and-bait technique.

Best For

• Trout Fishing — The internal rattle and high-visibility color make the Rattlin' Bob effective for trout fishing under a float; the rattle attracts trout to the area and the high-visibility color allows for quick strike detection on fast-moving trout water.
• Panfish & Bluegill — Effective for panfish, bluegill, and crappie fishing with live bait or small soft plastics suspended under the float; the rattle draws panfish to the bait in situations where a standard silent float would not attract fish from a distance.
• Stained Water & Low-Light Conditions — High-visibility yellow orange color for stained water and low-light conditions where standard red/white bobbers lose visibility; the high-contrast color remains visible in conditions where darker or smaller floats are difficult to track on the water surface.

The Rainbow Plastics A-Just-A-Bubble Float is a versatile fishing float designed for casting wet flies, dry flies, jigs, or live bait with extreme accuracy. It can be used as a stationary float or a slip float to achieve the desired depth. The float features surgical tubing through its center, which can be twisted to secure the line like a rubbercore sinker, or threaded through for slip float functionality. Water can be added to the float to adjust its weight for optimal casting distance and sensitivity. Made of durable butyrate plastic, it’s built to withstand tough conditions.
