PowerPro Maxcuatro Micro Braided Line is 25% thinner than existing PowerPro lines with the same strength. Maxcuatro line optimizes your casting distance while increasing your reel's capacity. It features 4 strand lighter yet softer construction made from Honeywell Spectra HT fiber. This smaller line diameter ensures longer casting distance because of the reduced friction on the reel and guides.

You can now use a smaller reel and still have the same capacity and line strength.  If having a smaller reel is not a concern, you can have greater capacity when you need it the most.  Smaller diameter lines are also better for smaller connection knots, allowing the line to pass through guides better.

We recommend that you put tape on the spool to make sure it won't slip.  Braided spectra type lines will spin on the spool if no tape is affixed to the spool.  We use Flexx-Rap tape but double sided tape or other sticky tapes will also work. Make sure you wrap the line 2-3 times around the spool first and then tie a uni knot or San Diego Knot.  Push the knot with your fingers as you tighten so the knot is tight to the spool.

We like the original Power Pro Spectra Braided Line for it's abrasion resistance and castability.  It has very low stretch and is a workhorse that will last for years without failing.  As with any braid, cut off the last 7-10 feet once in a while to insure the line doesn't have abrasion.  When we fish with a leader, it's best to tie a new leader on each time you fish.
