This is a medium wire hook so it's diameter makes it ideal for medium grade fish.  If the wire is too small, it will bend out causing a lost fish.  If it's too large in diameter, it will kill the bait and is harder to hook into the fishes mouth.

The BKK-VIPER-41 is a strong and shiny 4x treble hook designed with long and straight needle points and a very aggressive bend.

One of the techniques we targeted during the design of the BKK-VIPER-41 was topwater lurefishing. What we wanted to achieve with this hook was a lighter treble that would reduce its impact on the swimming action of the lure, at the same maximizing its penetration and holding power.

To reduce the overall weight of the hook and to make it stay closer to the lure we shortened the welded section of the treble, thereby also providing more flexibility to the structure.

The point is designed to maximize the hook-up rate when fishing topwater or when targeting fish that suck in the lure, while the aggressive shape of the bend ensures that the hook does not come off when the fish thrashes and jumps out of the water.

The BKK-VIPER-41 is coated in Bright Tin to resist even harsh saltwater environments and comes in a wide size range (6 to 6/0) to fit a huge array of lures, from small vibes to big SW stickbaits and poppers.

Need a little stronger hook than came on your lure, the Gamakatsu's 2x Strong Round Bend Treble hook was designed to handle hard charging, hard fighting fish that test every piece of your equipment. These hooks are perfect for stripers, largemouth bass, peacock bass, salmon, and many more gamefish. A tough hook for tough fish!

This hook is also available in a barbless version for salmon or trout anglers.  

The Gamakatsu Assist 510 Hooks, model 219514 features a curved point with an innovative outbarb that will not nick the leader if it somehow catches the line while jigging. No vertical jig should be fished without one. The super strong braided line loop easily attaches to any jig. One of the first Assist hooks introduced in this country and still the best by design.
