Stick Jacket Big Game 7 Rod Cover

Long rods can be awkward to pack, especially when exposed guides catch neighboring lines and blanks rub against other gear. Stick Jacket Big Game 7 gives your rod a flexible mesh covering for everyday storage and transport, helping keep your outfits separated and their surfaces protected from routine contact.

Sized for rods up to 9 ft 6 in long and 6-1/4 in around, it is a practical choice when a shorter sleeve will not suit your setup. Choose Black or Blue to give a longer outfit a recognizable place in your rod rack before the next trip.

Keep Long Outfits Easier to Handle

A rod sleeve adds a layer between the blank, guides, and neighboring equipment while keeping packing simple. The mesh design is a convenient alternative to a bulky case for routine organization. It is not a rigid shield: use a protective rod case when your gear could be crushed or exposed to heavy impacts.

Choose by Length and Guide Clearance

Best for: storing and transporting appropriately sized long saltwater and freshwater outfits, separating technique-specific rods, and organizing gear before and after a trip. For anglers carrying live-bait, jig, or other big-game setups, fit matters more than the species on the trip plan. Check both your rod's length and its largest guide before selecting the sleeve.

Use the cover between fishing sessions and remove it before casting, trolling, or working a lure. Its value is in keeping your gear organized on the way to the water and in storage, not in changing how the rod fishes. For smaller casting outfits, compare the Stick Jacket Casting and select the model that matches your rod and guides.

The around measurement is circumference, not diameter. Black and Blue share these specifications, so choose your color for identification rather than size.

Tackle Express Tips

• Use Black for one group of outfits and Blue for another, such as separating bait rods from lure rods. Keep your color system consistent from the garage to the boat.
• Guide the mesh gently over each guide. If it catches, stop and reposition it instead of pulling harder.
• Keep hooks outside the mesh and protect tied-on baits separately. A Stick Jacket Plug Jacket wraps the lure to help reduce hook snags around neighboring gear.

Before You Cover Your Big-Game Outfit

Does “Big Game 7” mean it only fits a 7 ft rod?
No. This model's fit is up to 9 ft 6 in long and 6-1/4 in around. Select it using those dimensions, not the number in the model name.

Are Black and Blue different sizes?
No. Both color options have the same fit and include one sleeve per pack.

Will it fit every saltwater rod?
No. Check length and clearance over the largest guide. A rod that is short enough can still have guides that need a wider cover.

Does it replace a travel case or cover my reel?
No. It is a flexible rod sleeve, not a rigid travel case or reel cover. Protect the reel separately and use structural protection when heavy impacts or crushing are possible.

Choose Black or Blue at Tackle Express and make your longer outfits easier to organize for the next trip.
