Trout Fishing Line

Izorline XXX Super Copolymer Smoke Fishing Line— 1/4lb Spools

When you need a line that disappears in the water column and holds up under pressure, Izorline XXX Super Copolymer Smoke delivers. Engineered with next-generation space-age additives, this monofilament packs exceptional strength into a small diameter — giving you more line on the spool and a stealthy edge over wary fish.

The smoke color is purpose-built for low visibility, making it a go-to for targeting sharp-eyed species like yellowtail, white seabass, and tuna. Whether you're fishing the surf, jigging offshore, or chasing trout in freshwater, XXX Copolymer performs where it counts.

Key Features

• "Xtra" Limp — Soft, supple, and easy to tie reliable knots
• "Xtra" Strong — Izorline's strongest monofilament ever produced
• "Xtra" Tough — Superior abrasion resistance for rocky structure and heavy cover
• Low Memory — Minimal coil and line twist for longer, more accurate casts
• Small Diameter — More line capacity on your reel without sacrificing strength
• Smoke Color — Near-invisible underwater for a stealthy presentation

Specifications

Note: Spools are sold by weight, not line length. Lighter test lines have more yardage per spool due to smaller diameter.

The Leader That Disappears Underwater

Seaguar Gold Label Fluorocarbon Leader is engineered for situations where fish are leader-shy and every advantage matters. Built thinner and less visible underwater than any other fluorocarbon leader on the market, Gold Label gives you more natural presentations, better bait action, and higher catch rates on the fish that refuse everything else. From ultra-light trout rigs to heavy big game setups, it's available in 2lb through 150lb to cover every application.

Double-Structure Fluorocarbon — Built Different From the Inside Out

Seaguar's exclusive DSF (Double Structure Fluoro) process combines two custom fluorocarbon resins into a single leader with a smaller diameter core and a tougher outer layer. The result is a leader that's 18% thinner than standard fluorocarbon, 17% stronger in both knot and tensile strength, and significantly softer — so it cinches cleanly into fail-safe knots without the stiffness that causes slippage or breakage under pressure.

When Standard Fluorocarbon Costs You Fish

On pressured fisheries — clear water, finicky yellowtail, spooky white seabass, wary trout — leader visibility is often the difference between a bite and a refusal. Thicker, stiffer leaders kill bait action and flash in the water column. Gold Label's ultra-thin diameter and near-zero memory let your bait move freely and naturally, and its refractive index matches water so closely it effectively vanishes at depth.

Why Gold Label Outperforms Standard Fluorocarbon

• 18% thinner diameter — less visible, better bait action
• 17% better knot and tensile strength despite smaller diameter
• Lowest line memory of any fluorocarbon leader — easier to manage, fewer tangles
• Extremely soft and supple — cinches easily for clean, reliable knots
• 100% fluorocarbon — near-zero stretch, abrasion resistant, UV stable
• Level Wind Technology for consistent, even spooling
• 25-yard spool — right-sized for leader material use

The Right Pick If...

• You fish clear water where leader visibility costs you bites
• You need a leader that ties clean knots without stiffness or memory issues
• You're targeting finicky species that refuse heavier or more visible leaders
• You want one premium leader that covers light inshore to heavy offshore applications
• You trust Seaguar's fluorocarbon expertise — they invented it

Best Fishing Techniques

Ideal for live bait fishing, drop-shotting, finesse jigging, Carolina rigs, fly fishing tippet leaders, kite fishing, and any technique where leader invisibility and natural bait presentation are critical. Heavier sizes (50–150lb) are built for offshore big game, shark, and heavy inshore applications.

Best Conditions

Clear water, high-pressure fisheries, bright sunny days with high visibility, and any situation where fish are leader-shy or have been heavily targeted. Also excels in low-light conditions where the refractive index advantage keeps the leader invisible at depth.

Best For

• Yellowtail and white seabass on the California coast
• Tuna — both light tackle and heavy big game setups
• Trout and bass in clear freshwater lakes and rivers
• Calico bass and inshore saltwater species
• Surf fishing with finesse presentations
• Offshore billfish, shark, and heavy leader applications (80–150lb)

Key Features

• 18% thinner diameter than standard fluorocarbon
• 17% better knot and tensile strength

• Extremely soft and supple for clean knot cinching
• 100% fluorocarbon — abrasion resistant, UV stable, near-zero stretch
• Level Wind Technology
• Spool length: 25 yards
• Available: 2lb through 150lb
• Vendor: Seaguar

Tackle Express Tips

• Match the test to your mainline: A good rule of thumb is to run Gold Label at 2–3x your mainline test for most inshore and freshwater applications — the thinner diameter keeps it invisible while still providing the abrasion resistance you need near structure.
• Use a loop-to-loop or FG knot: Gold Label's low memory and soft construction make it ideal for the FG knot when connecting to braid — the supple material cinches tight without the stiffness that causes slippage in stiffer fluorocarbons.
• Store out of direct sunlight: Even though fluorocarbon is UV-stable, prolonged direct sun exposure on the spool can degrade the resin over time. Keep spools in a tackle bag or drawer between trips to maximize shelf life.

FAQ

What makes Gold Label different from standard Seaguar fluorocarbon?
Gold Label uses Seaguar's exclusive DSF (Double Structure Fluoro) process — two custom fluorocarbon resins combined into one leader. This gives it an 18% thinner diameter and 17% better strength than standard fluorocarbon at the same test rating, plus significantly lower memory for easier handling.

Which test should I choose for yellowtail and white seabass?
Most Southern California anglers run 20–40lb Gold Label for yellowtail depending on conditions, and 25–40lb for white seabass. In cleaner, clearer water, drop down a size — the thinner diameter will get you more bites on pressured fish.

Can I use Gold Label for freshwater applications?
Absolutely. The lighter tests (2–12lb) are excellent for trout, bass, and panfish in clear lakes and rivers where leader visibility is a factor. The same invisibility advantage that works offshore works just as well in clear freshwater.

Seaguar Blue Label was developed with Seaguar's exclusive, proprietary Double Structure Technology, our FC Leader is one of the best on the market. Fluorocarbon leaders' advanced strength allows use of smaller pound test vs. other fluorocarbons for more effective presentation.

Incredible impact strength, knot strength and abrasion resistance. Ideal for any leader fishing from 2 to 80 lbs., fresh or salt water. As with all 100% Fluorocarbon products, FC Leader is much less visible underwater than monofilament line and virtually invisible to fish. FC is also UV resistant, chemical resistant, non-absorbant, high-density and impervious to cold conditions.

Made from 100% Seaguar resins and produced using our proprietary extrusion process.

Available Line Sizes - 25 Yards

When you need a monofilament line that ties easily without giving up strength, Izorline XXX Super Copolymer Clear Fishing Line gives you a broad 2–40 lb size range on 1/4 lb spools. The listing highlights an extra-limp feel, strong construction, low memory, and abrasion resistance, with a clear/smoke presentation that can be less visible to fish.

Tie Cleanly, Fish Confidently

Izorline XXX is built for anglers who want line that is soft and easy to tie, while still bringing the strength and toughness needed for everyday freshwater and saltwater fishing. The wide range of available sizes makes it easier to match the line to your target and setup instead of forcing one compromise size.

When Stiff Line Gets in the Way

High-memory line can make knots and handling frustrating. The XXX Super Copolymer formula is listed as extra limp and low memory, helping the line feel more manageable when you are tying, rigging, or replacing line at the bench.

What It Does Well, and What to Keep in Mind

• Easy handling: The extra-limp construction is soft and easy to tie.
• Durable performance: The listing identifies the line as extra strong and extra tough, with great abrasion resistance.
• Broad selection: Available sizes run from 2 lb through 40 lb.
• Important spool detail: The spool is sold by weight, not by a fixed length of line. Smaller diameters can provide more line on the spool, which is why pricing can vary by size.

The Right Pick If...

Choose Izorline XXX when you want a versatile copolymer fishing line with low memory, easy knot handling, and a size range that covers light freshwater work through heavier saltwater applications. Choose the 1/4 lb spool format when the amount of line you need can vary by diameter.

Best Techniques, Species, and Conditions

Sunline Super FC Sniper fluorocarbon line is America's best selling product for a reason. Our pros love Sniper for its versatility and manageability. Sniper is a great choice for spinning or casting tackle. It features triple resin processing to give it high abrasion resistance, low memory, suppleness, long life and uniform line diameter.

This premier Japanese fluorocarbon fishing line features triple resin processing, high abrasion resistance, low memory, long life, and uniform diameter for the discerning angler.

We've used it for bass, stripers, and trout with great success. We find that in very cold or freezing conditions, Sunline Super FC Sniper holds up better than any other fluorocarbon and won't become brittle. Other lines will become brittle in freezing conditions but the composition of this line is superior.

Available in both 200 yards and 660 yards.

Available Line Sizes

Seaguar Invizx Fluorocarbon Line is at the top of it's class. We love this line for many reasons but the most impressive thing is how limp and strong it is. The limpness is great when using Seaguar Invizx on spinning reels. This reduces memory allowing you to cast further without the curly-que effect.

Lots of fluorocarbon lines lose strength when they improve limpness, but Seaguar was able to keep this line strong and sensitive. It's as sensitive as your girlfriend in high school but as strong as your Russian masseuse. As with all Seaguar fluorocarbon lines, it's diameter is very thin. Invizx is no exception and it still remains one of our top selling lines. These spools are 200 yards of pure fish catching line.

Maxima Ultragreen One Shot Monofilament Line is as strong as it comes. Anyone who has used it knows its high breaking strength and exceptional durability with abrasion. The green color is perfect for most lakes as well as inshore ocean fishing. It's soft and limp and casts well but a little KVD Line and Lure Conditioner makes it even better. So strong, it should come with a warning label! Its exceptional durability and high breaking strength make it the go-to for any angler. Plus, its green color blends in seamlessly with most lakes and inshore ocean fishing. And don't worry about any stiffness, it casts like a dream. But if you really want to step up your game, add a little KVD Line and Lure Conditioner and watch those fish bite!

The Finesse Braid Built for Precision Anglers

When the bite is tough and every presentation counts, you need a line that casts effortlessly, holds strong, and gives you a visual edge on subtle strikes. The SPRO Finesse Braid 8X in Flash Pink was engineered specifically for finesse applications — drop shots, ned rigs, shaky heads, and any technique where feel and control win the day.

Built for Finesse, Proven on the Water

Constructed from premium Japanese fibers in an 8-carrier braid configuration, the SPRO Finesse 8X Flash Pink is noticeably smoother than 4-strand alternatives. That smoothness translates directly into longer, quieter casts and reduced guide wear — critical when you're making hundreds of presentations in a single session.

Why Standard Braid Falls Short

Most braided lines are built for power fishing — heavy cover, big baits, maximum strength. Finesse fishing demands something different: a line thin enough to feel every tick of a drop shot, quiet enough not to spook pressured fish, and strong enough to handle a surprise big bite. Standard 4-strand braid is too coarse, too loud, and too stiff. The SPRO Finesse 8X solves all three problems.

Why 8-Strand Wins Here

The 8-carrier construction creates a rounder, denser braid profile that glides through guides with minimal friction. The result: exceptional castability, near-silent retrieves, and a line that lays flat on your spool without digging or bunching. Pair that with phenomenal abrasion resistance and incredibly high knot strength, and you have a finesse line that can handle rocks, docks, and unexpected trophy fish without flinching.

The Right Pick If...

• You want a high-visibility pink line for easy bite detection on spinning gear
• You're fishing drop shots, ned rigs, shaky heads, or wacky rigs
• You're targeting pressured bass, trout, or panfish in clear to stained water
• You want a braid-to-fluorocarbon leader setup for finesse applications
• You fish light jigs or small swimbaits in open water or around light cover

Best Fishing Techniques

• Drop shot — feel every subtle tap with zero stretch sensitivity
• Ned rig / mushroom head — perfect for slow, subtle bottom presentations
• Shaky head — ideal for dragging and hopping in rocky structure
• Wacky rig — smooth casting with spinning gear, minimal line twist
• Light swimbait — maintain feel and control on slow retrieves

Best Conditions

• Clear to lightly stained water — flash pink high-vis color aids bite detection
• Pressured fisheries where finesse presentations outperform power fishing
• Rocky or hard-bottom structure where abrasion resistance is critical
• Calm to moderate conditions where casting distance and accuracy matter

Best For

• Species: Largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, spotted bass, trout, panfish
• Techniques: Drop shot, ned rig, shaky head, wacky rig, light jigging
• Gear: Spinning reels, light to medium-light rods, 6–16 lb. applications

Key Features

• 8-carrier Japanese fiber construction for maximum smoothness
• Flash Pink high-visibility color for superior bite detection
• Exceptional abrasion resistance through rocks and cover
• Incredibly high knot strength — holds under pressure
• Ultra-quiet retrieve through guides
• 164 yards / 150m per spool
• Available in 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, and 16 lb. test

Models & Specs

Tackle Express Tips

• Go with a fluorocarbon leader: Tie 6–10 ft. of 6–10 lb. fluorocarbon to your braid with an Alberto or FG knot for near-invisible presentations in clear water.
• Match your line test to your rod: The 6–8 lb. sizes shine on ultralight to light spinning rods; step up to 10–12 lb. for medium-light rods fishing around light cover.
• Use the Flash Pink to your advantage: Watch the line where it enters the water — a subtle twitch or sideways movement often signals a bite before you feel it in your hand.

FAQ

Is the SPRO Finesse Braid 8X Flash Pink good for spinning reels?
Yes — the 8-carrier construction creates a round, smooth profile that lays evenly on spinning spools and minimizes line twist, making it an excellent choice for spinning setups.

Should I use a leader with this braid?
For most finesse applications in clear water, yes. A 6–10 ft. fluorocarbon leader in matching or slightly lighter pound test will reduce visibility at the business end while keeping the sensitivity benefits of braid.

Does the pink color spook fish?
No — Flash Pink is a high-visibility color for the angler, not the fish. It disappears underwater at depth and is designed to help you detect subtle bites by watching the line, not to attract or spook fish.

Seaguar Pink Label™ 100% fluorocarbon leader material is made from exclusive Seaguar resins. Pink Label is soft and supple with superior strength, abrasion resistance and minimal stretch. It's also lightweight and buoyant, so it can cast farther and perform better underwater than other fluorocarbon lines.

The pink color is one of the first colors to disappear in water making it even more invisible than other colored or non colored lines.  We have had bites where they would only bite pink label, it's worth a try if you haven't already.

Seaguar Smackdown braid is so thin that 20 lb test has the diameter of 6 lb monofilament! Smackdown Braid is made with 8 ultra-thin, micro-weave strands in a round, smooth-casting profile with extra sensitivity. It provides exceptional knot and tensile strength with unparalleled abrasion resistance.

The Phenix Ironfeather Fiber Elite Braided Line is a premium PE braid specifically engineered for ultralight fishing, particularly for trout and bass. It is widely recognized as one of the thinnest and strongest braids available, designed to provide extreme sensitivity and maximum casting distance.

Performance & Key Features

• Zero-Stretch Sensitivity: The PE fiber construction offers zero stretch, allowing you to feel even the most subtle bites and strikes instantly.

• Ultra-Thin Diameter: Phenix claims this is the thinnest braid on the market, being up to 20% thinner than standard braids, which significantly reduces wind resistance and water drag.

• Extreme Casting: Because it is so thin and has a smooth, feather-soft feel, it is often cited as the farthest casting braid for ultralight setups.

• Durability: The line features a waterproof and UV-resistant coating to prevent fraying and damage from the sun, ensuring long-lasting performance.

• Color Retention: It uses a colorfast dye to help the line maintain its color longer than many competing brands.

P-Line Floroclear Fluorocarbon Coated Line combines a copolymer line with a fluorocarbon coating and a silicone treatment designed to reduce memory and improve casting. This listing is for a 300-yard spool, with pound-test options from 2 to 12 lb. It is a coated copolymer, not a 100% fluorocarbon line.

Features and specifications

• Construction: fluorocarbon-coated copolymer.
• Handling: silicone-treated to reduce line memory and aid casting.
• Spool length: 300 yards.
• Pound-test options: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10 and 12 lb.
• Uses: mainline for presentations matched to your rod, reel, lure and cover, including light tackle and bass finesse fishing.

Choosing your pound test

Use your rod's line rating and reel's capacity guidance as starting points. Lower pound tests suit lighter tackle and smaller presentations where abrasion is limited. Consider a higher test within your tackle's ratings when fishing larger baits or around more cover. No single pound test is suitable for every fish, lure or location.

The 300-yard length describes how much line is on the supply spool. How many reels it fills depends on reel capacity, the selected line size and how much backing you use.

3 Tackle Express Tips

1. Fill to the reel's recommended level. Maintain even tension while spooling and avoid overfilling, which can encourage loose coils.
2. Check the working end. After contact with rocks, wood or a fish, feel for rough spots and cut back past damaged line before retying.
3. Test each fresh knot. Moisten it before tightening, seat it smoothly and pull-test the connection before casting.

Frequently asked questions

Is Floroclear 100% fluorocarbon?

No. Floroclear is a copolymer line with a fluorocarbon coating. Choose a line specifically labeled 100% fluorocarbon if that construction is required for your setup.

How much line is on this spool?

Each spool in this listing contains 300 yards.

Which pound tests are offered here?

The options are 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10 and 12 lb. Select the strength suited to your tackle and fishing conditions.

Does the silicone treatment eliminate memory?

It is designed to reduce memory, not eliminate it. Correct spooling, storage and reel fill still matter.
