The Whopper Plopper 90 from River2Sea is a downsized iteration of Larry Dahlberg's renowned topwater lures. At just under 3 inches and slightly over 1/2 ounce, this little guy still has all the captivating surface action of the original Whopper Plopper.
With its propeller-like tail that spins, the River2Sea Whopper Plopper 90 creates unique rumbling and multi-octave splashing noises that set it apart from other topwater lures. This tail is also extremely durable, able to withstand the rough treatment of rocks, wood, and big freshwater fish.
While the Whopper Plopper 90 is the smallest Whopper Plopper in terms of length, it has a deeper, wider belly that creates more of a bluegill profile than the other sizes. All in all, the Whopper Plopper 90 is a great choice for largemouth, smallmouth, and spotted bass when the topwater bite is strong, but fish are pressured and used to a smaller forage base.
