Aftco Barricade Bibs | Gunmetal

AFTCO Barricade Bibs give anglers waterproof lower-body coverage for fishing through rain and boat spray. Three-layer polyester ripstop construction, a 20K waterproof rating, and a DWR water-repellent finish make these fishing rain bibs a practical choice when wet weather is part of the plan, not a reason to head home.

From a rainy bass-boat launch to a damp coastal run, the adjustable shoulder straps and waist adjustment system let you dial in the fit around your fishing layers. A zippered chest pocket and dedicated pliers pocket keep small essentials within reach, so you can spend less time digging through gear and more time fishing.

Keep the Rain Out of Your Fishing Day

Ordinary fishing pants are not a replacement for waterproof rain gear. The Barricade's three-layer shell adds a dedicated weather barrier, while ripstop construction and a reinforced hem suit the demands of moving around a boat. Knee-high side zippers make adjusting the lower legs easier, and the adjustable straps help keep the bibs positioned while you cast, crouch, or reach for tackle.

The Right Pick for a Wet Forecast

Choose these bibs when rain protection and durable coverage matter more than traveling light in fair weather. Their waterproof shell is useful for exposed boat rides and repeated casting in wet conditions; for warm, dry days, regular fishing pants or shorts are a simpler option. These are rain bibs, not a replacement for a complete upper-body rain shell or a personal flotation device.

Best for: freshwater bass fishing with jigs, moving baits, and soft plastics; inshore casting; offshore trolling; and general boat fishing in rain or spray. Their value is weather protection across techniques and species, rather than a fish-specific performance feature.

Build a Practical Wet-Weather Kit

Pair your bibs with AFTCO Ankle Deck Fishing Boots for your on-deck setup. For cold, wet days, consider AFTCO Break Water Waterproof Gloves. When you need a separate cool-weather layer, the AFTCO Reaper Tactical Zip-Up Jacket in Charcoal is another option, but it is not a waterproof rain-shell substitute.

Tackle Express Tips

• Check the fit over the layers you actually fish in. Sit, crouch, and make a casting motion before heading out, then adjust the straps and waist.
• Keep the chest-pocket zipper closed in wet weather, and secure pliers before running the boat.
• Pack a dedicated waterproof jacket to complete your rain coverage. Bibs protect the lower body but do not keep rain off your shoulders and arms.
