Owner Single Replacement Hook X-Strong are perfect for replacing trebles on both freshwater and inshore baits. These are a great for fishing areas with lots of grass, kelp or cover that make fishing with treble hooks nearly impossible.

The hook used is as important as any other part of the equation.  Gamakatsu Nautilus Ringed Circle Hooks are among the best due to their superior diameter to strength ratio.  The ring allows the bait to swim easier and adds a pivot point when in the fishes mouth which reduces leverage which can pull the hook.

Mustad Beak Hooks Model 92677-BR are a short shank live bait hook perfect for anchovies, sardines, mackerel, and strips of squid.  Theses hooks are 3X strong and have an offset shank and a beaked point.  

This beak style hook makes it more difficult for the fish to throw a hook and often sets in the mouth rather than in the gut.  We find it between a circle hook and a regular live bait hook.
