Saltwater Lures

Mustad's Rip Roller Slow Fall Jig has a slim, streamlined profile for quick descent on a tight line. Its centered weight gives it a stable but rolling motion on a slack line.

Its two contrasting colors on each side create a blinking flash that attracts attention and triggers strikes. Perfect for deep fish or heavy current.  In SoCal, these have been a staple on both day trips and long range trips for big bluefin tuna.  Rig them on a 4' leader of 200 pound or 300 pound fluorocarbon leader or just get the Tackle Express exclusive J-arry Rig.

Walks, Pops, Spits — All in One Bait

The Ima Big Stick is the result of years of development by Ima's Japanese engineering team and professional angler Randy Pringle — and it shows. At 7 inches and 1.75 oz, the Big Stick is a magnum topwater that can spit like a popper, walk like the hardest-sashaying walking bait on the market, and do it all without requiring expert technique or specialized gear. It's designed for conventional tackle, starts working the moment you begin your retrieve, and is built to handle anything from trophy bass to stripers, pike, and musky.

Eight Sound Chambers. One Unforgettable Presentation.

The Big Stick features eight individual sound chambers that create a massive ruckus at fast retrieve speeds — and can be dialed back to a subtle pop along the surface when fish are finicky. The rear-weighted design kicks the action into gear immediately on the retrieve and dramatically increases casting distance and accuracy. A unique head design pushes significant volumes of water on every direction change, creating a surface disturbance that draws fish from a distance.

Built for Trophy Fish, Not Just Bass

Most big topwaters are built for one species. The Big Stick is built for all of them. Wire-through construction, heavier split rings, and Owner ST-66 #1/0 treble hooks mean this bait can handle the shock of a 50 lb striper, a 40-inch musky, or a 10 lb largemouth without failing. The durable finish and premium hardware make it a legitimate multi-species weapon for both freshwater and saltwater applications.

Standard vs. Silent — Two Presentations, One Profile

The Big Stick comes in both a standard (rattling) version and a silent version. The standard model's eight sound chambers create aggressive noise and vibration — ideal for stained water, choppy conditions, and aggressive fish. The silent version relies entirely on its surface action and profile — perfect for clear water, pressured fish, and situations where noise spooks rather than attracts.

The Right Pick If...

• You want a big topwater that walks AND pops without switching baits
• You're targeting trophy largemouth, stripers, pike, or musky on the surface
• You need a topwater that casts far and starts working immediately on the retrieve
• You fish both freshwater and saltwater and want one bait that handles both
• You want a premium Japanese-engineered topwater with tournament-proven action

Best Retrieve Techniques

• Walk the Dog: Rhythmic rod-tip twitches produce a wide, aggressive side-to-side walk — the rear-weighted design makes this effortless
• Popping: Short, sharp twitches to spit water and pause — the unique head design creates a loud, aggressive pop
• Fast Burn: High-speed retrieve to activate all eight sound chambers and create maximum surface commotion
• Subtle Pop: Slow, gentle twitches for a quiet, subtle presentation — or use the silent version for pressured fish

Best Conditions

• Open water, main lake points, and offshore structure where big fish are feeding on top
• Early morning and late evening low-light periods
• Post-spawn through fall when trophy fish are chasing large baitfish
• Saltwater flats, jetties, and inshore structure for stripers and other coastal species
• Any situation where a large, aggressive topwater presentation is needed

Best For

• Species: Largemouth Bass, Striped Bass, Pike, Musky, Various Saltwater Species
• Techniques: Walk-the-Dog, Popping, Fast Burn, Subtle Pop
• Conditions: Open water, low-light, post-spawn, saltwater inshore, trophy fish situations

Tackle Express Tips

• Go Heavy on Tackle: The Big Stick is 1.75 oz — use a heavy or extra-heavy 7'6"–8' casting rod with a high-speed reel (7:1+) and 50–65 lb braid. The heavy setup handles the weight, maximizes casting distance, and gives you the power to drive Owner ST-66 hooks home on big fish.
• Standard vs. Silent by Water Clarity: Use the standard rattling version in stained water, choppy conditions, or when fish are aggressive. Switch to the silent version in clear water, calm conditions, or when fish are spooking off noise.
• Match Color to Forage: Sardine, Mackerel, and Ghost Blue Back are go-to saltwater and striper colors. Bone and Red Head are classic low-light and clear-water patterns. Trout and Hatchery Trout shine in trout-forage fisheries and tailwaters.

FAQ

What's the difference between the standard and silent Big Stick?
The standard version has eight internal sound chambers that create noise and vibration at all retrieve speeds. The silent version has no rattle and relies entirely on its surface action and profile — ideal for clear water or pressured fish that spook off noisy baits.

What rod and line setup works best?
A heavy or extra-heavy 7'6"–8' casting rod with a high-speed reel and 50–65 lb braided line is ideal. The 1.75 oz weight needs backbone to cast and the braid gives you the sensitivity to feel the action and the power to set hooks on big fish.

Can the Ima Big Stick be used in saltwater?
Absolutely. The wire-through construction, heavier split rings, and Owner ST-66 hooks are built to handle saltwater species including striped bass, bluefish, and other inshore predators. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water after each saltwater use.

Rapala X-Rap Magnum 30 — Built for the Deep, Built for the Fight

When the big pelagics are holding at depth, you need a lure that can reach them. The Rapala X-Rap Magnum 30 (XRMAG-30) is a premium saltwater trolling lure engineered to dive down to 30 feet while maintaining a tight, lifelike action at trolling speeds up to 12 knots. Whether you're targeting wahoo, yellowfin tuna, sailfish, or mahi, this is the bait that gets down where the fish are.

Key Features

The Spro Prime Bucktail Jig is not like any other jig on the market. The unique shape of the head and placement of the eyelet help bring this lure to life. With bulging eyes, holographic finish, and blazing color, it puts fish at your mercy. The uniqueness of this bait is that it doesn’t fall or hang straight down like other bucktails. It glides through the water, almost swimming along. When jigged, its body stays almost parallel to the bottom maintaining a very natural appearance.

Like all SPRO products, Prime Bucktail Jigs are made with durable, super sharp Gamakatsu hooks. Once you fish it, you’ll know why SPRO is the shape of things to come. It’s hard to fish the Prime Bucktail wrong. It can be jigged off the bottom for weakfish, fluke, or other saltwater fish.

Cast it at schooling fish working it quickly back to the boat for cobia, stripers, snook, or dorado. Swim it along in freshwater for big bass and walleyes, or troll it for reservoir stripers. It’s hard to find somewhere that the Spro Prime Bucktail won’t work.

P-Line Laser Minnow has a very distinctive fall which triggers a bite from a wide variety of fish.  Simply drop it down and either wind it back at a fast pace, or pop the rod tip up and down.

It can also be cast and retrieved like a spoon or surface iron.  Simple wind it back at a steady retrieve, too fast and it will wash out.  Too slow and it will have a lazy wander to it.

The finish is holographic and has a realistic eye to fool hungry fish into biting.  Putting a snap on the tie point will give it better action allowing it to more freely move through the water.  You can take off the stock hook and rig it with a single hook or assist hooks from the top or bottom ring.  Tying to the side with the eye and putting the assist hooks on the same side will help prevent snags when fishing the bottom.

Comes one per pack.

The glow eyes makes this diamond jig look flashier than ever before and is sure to get noticed even in the lowest light conditions. The jigs are available in weight from 1 ounce up to 14 ounces and in 5 different colors.

These jigs come equipped with a heavy duty hook that is secured with heavy duty solid split rings. Ahi USA Assault Diamond Jigs catch just about every species of game fish from lingcod, rockfish, halibut, and tuna in the Pacific, to striped bass, bluefish, cod, and tuna on the East Coast. Anglers in the Gulf also use them to score grouper, snapper, amberjack, king mackerel and more.

Bring a squid-shaped vibration down to the fish

The Nomad Squidtrex 95 Vibe pairs a soft TPE squid body with a sinking, max-vibration action. Its tentacles keep moving as it sinks or rests, while the vibration gives fish a strong signal to track. Cast it toward structure or feeding fish, work it vertically, or troll it when you want that pulsing wobble in the presentation.

Heavy-duty through-wire construction and heavy-gauge hooks are built for powerful fish. Twin assist hooks come fitted, and a belly eyelet gives you an additional hook-placement option when needed.

Choose the presentation that fits the water

Cast toward structure or visible feeding fish and retrieve it subsurface with a steady or stop-and-start cadence. For vertical jigging, let the sinking bait reach your target zone and work it through the water column. The listing also describes trolling at medium to high speeds, where the lure produces a pronounced wobble. Its listed depth is up to 130 feet.

When You Need to Go Deeper and Hit Harder

The Nomad Tackle Streaker Jig 420g is the heaviest jig in the Streaker lineup — purpose-built for extreme depth, heavy current, and the kind of big-game targets that demand serious hardware. At 15 oz, it drops fast, stays vertical in strong current, and delivers the same erratic, darting action that makes the Streaker series so effective. When the fish are holding at 300, 400, or 500+ feet and lighter jigs can't reach the zone, the 420g gets the job done.

Built for the Conditions That Break Other Jigs

Extreme depth and big fish are a brutal combination. The 420g Streaker is engineered to handle both. Gorilla Through-Wire construction runs a full wire through the entire body, so even a 100 lb bluefin can't pull the hook hardware free. Triple Shield Protection finish resists corrosion and chipping through repeated drops and hard strikes. And the BKK 5X Assist 5/0 hooks are heavy-duty enough to handle whatever you're targeting. This is a jig you can trust when the stakes are high.

Why Heavy Wins at Depth

At extreme depths, lighter jigs lose their action — current pushes them off angle, they take too long to reach the strike zone, and by the time they get there the school has moved. The 420g Streaker cuts through current, sinks fast, and maintains a vertical presentation even in heavy drift conditions. More time in the zone means more bites, and more bites at depth means more fish in the boat.

The Right Pick If...

• You're fishing 200–600+ ft for bluefin, yellowfin, or large amberjack
• Current is strong and lighter jigs won't stay vertical
• You need maximum sink rate to reach fish before the school moves
• You're targeting trophy-class fish that require heavy-duty hooks and construction
• You're on a long-range trip where depth and current are constant challenges

Best Fishing Techniques

• High-Pitch Jigging: Fast, sharp upward rod strokes with a quick drop — the Streaker's erratic flutter on the fall triggers strikes even at extreme depth
• Speed Jigging: Continuous medium-to-fast retrieve with the rod tip low — keeps the jig swimming tight and aggressive through the water column
• Vertical Jigging: Drop to depth, engage, and work back up with varied cadence — most effective when fish are stacked tight on structure or bait

Best Conditions

• Deep water: 200–600+ ft
• Heavy current where only a 420g+ jig maintains a vertical presentation
• Offshore seamounts, deep structure, and open-water bait schools
• Clear to moderate visibility — natural patterns like Blue Sardine and Crimson Tide shine here
• Low-light and deep conditions — glow variants (Rasta Glow, Full Glow Pink, Silver Glow Stripe, Glow Pink Mackerel) are standout producers

Best For

• Species: Bluefin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Bigeye Tuna, Yellowtail, Large Amberjack, Wahoo
• Techniques: High-pitch jigging, speed jigging, vertical jigging
• Scenarios: Long-range offshore trips, extreme deep-water structure fishing, heavy-current conditions

Key Features

• Streaker Swim Action — erratic, darting movement that triggers reaction bites at extreme depth
• Gorilla Through-Wire Construction — full-body wire for maximum strength on trophy-class fish
• Triple Shield Protection — multi-layer finish resists corrosion and chipping
• BKK 5X Assist 5/0 Hooks — heavy-duty premium hooks fitted from the factory
• Fast-Sink Design — long, slender profile with slightly flat back for maximum sink rate
• 8 Color Options — natural baitfish patterns and glow variants for all conditions and depths

Tackle Express Tips

• Match your rod to the weight: A 420g jig needs a rod rated for heavy jigging — look for a stick rated 300–500g or a dedicated speed jigging rod. Using an undersized rod kills the action and risks breakage on a big fish.
• Go glow first: At the depths the 420g is designed for, natural light is minimal. Start with Rasta Glow, Full Glow Pink, or Glow Pink Mackerel and charge them with a UV light between drops. Switch to natural patterns if glow isn't producing.
• Watch your line angle: Even at 420g, strong current can push your line off vertical. If your angle exceeds 30–40 degrees, reposition the boat or add more weight. A diagonal presentation dramatically reduces the jig's effectiveness.

FAQ

How does the 420g compare to the 200g and 320g Streaker?
The 420g is the top of the Streaker lineup — built for the deepest water, strongest current, and largest fish. Use the 200g for depths under 150 ft, the 320g for 150–300 ft in moderate current, and the 420g when you're pushing 300+ ft or dealing with heavy drift.

What rod and reel setup should I use with the 420g Streaker?
Look for a heavy jigging rod rated 300–500g paired with a high-speed jigging reel (6:1+ gear ratio). Spool with 80–100 lb braid and run a 100–150 lb fluorocarbon leader. For toothy species, go heavier on the leader.

What's Rasta Glow and when should I use it?
Rasta Glow is a multi-color glow pattern that combines green, red, and yellow tones with a glow finish. It's a standout producer in low-light conditions and at extreme depth where natural light doesn't reach. It's one of the most popular colors in the 420g lineup for a reason.

The Halco Roosta Popper is perfect for targeting game fish that are aggressively  attacking bait fish near or on the surface.  The hardware on these poppers is of the highest quality and will stand up to big fish like tuna, GT's, dorado, and peacock bass. They are best used with a heavy spinning rod and reel due to the higher inches of line retrieved per crank.  We prefer to have braided line with a short 3' top shot of monofilament or fluorocarbon.

The Halco Roosta 195 Haymaker is designed for catching some of the toughest fish that swim, from Giant Trevally to Dogtooth Tuna. It is built with extra heavy duty, custom made 7xx fish rings and is equipped with Mustad 5 extra strong 5/0 trebles. While designed with a blooping style retrieve in mind, the Roosta Haymaker can be simply wound in at speed or trolled for excellent results. The recommended method of retrieval for best results is to point the rod tip at the lure, retrieve any slack line and firmly sweep the rod tip in a downward motion approximately 45 degrees. Allow the lure to rest for several seconds and if a fish hasn't taken the lure repeat as necessary.

Roosta Popper 195 Specs

Built for the Deep End of the Water Column

The Nomad Tackle Streaker Jig 320g is the heavier sibling in the Streaker lineup — built for anglers who fish deep, fast, and hard. At 11 oz, it cuts through current and reaches depth quickly, getting into the strike zone before the school moves. The long, slender profile with a slightly flat back creates an erratic, darting action that triggers reaction strikes from predators that won't commit to anything slow. When the fish are holding deep and the bite window is short, the 320g Streaker is the jig you reach for.

When the 200g Isn't Enough

Strong current, deep structure, and big fish demand more weight. The 320g Streaker sinks faster, stays down in heavy current, and handles the kind of drag pressure that comes with targeting large yellowtail, bluefin, and amberjack. The extra mass also gives you more authority on the hookset — critical when you're fishing 200+ feet down with a long braid run. If you've been losing fish or struggling to stay vertical in current, stepping up to the 320g is often the fix.

What Standard Wire Gets Wrong

Big fish don't give you second chances. Standard jig construction can fail at the hook hardware when a large fish runs hard — the body separates and the fish is gone. Nomad's Gorilla Through-Wire construction runs a full wire through the entire body, so even the most violent strikes and runs can't pull the hardware free. Paired with Triple Shield Protection finish that resists corrosion and chipping, this jig is built to stay in the water and keep producing.

The Right Pick If...

• You're fishing 150–500+ ft for tuna, yellowtail, or amberjack
• Current is strong and lighter jigs won't stay vertical
• You need a fast-sinking profile to reach depth before the school moves
• You're targeting big fish that require heavier hardware and stronger hooks
• You want a jig that matches sardine, mackerel, or larger baitfish profiles

Best Fishing Techniques

• High-Pitch Jigging: Fast, sharp upward rod strokes with a quick drop — the Streaker's erratic flutter on the fall is a key trigger at depth
• Speed Jigging: Continuous medium-to-fast retrieve with the rod tip low — keeps the jig swimming tight and aggressive through the water column
• Vertical Jigging: Drop to depth, engage, and work back up with varied cadence — effective when fish are stacked on structure

Best Conditions

• Deep water: 150–500+ ft
• Strong current where heavier jigs maintain a vertical presentation
• Offshore structure, seamounts, and open-water bait schools
• Clear to moderate visibility — natural patterns like Sardine and Blue Sardine shine here
• Low-light and deep conditions — glow variants (Full Glow Pink, Pink Glow Mackerel, Silver Glow Stripe) excel

Best For

• Species: Bluefin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Yellowtail, Amberjack, Wahoo, Mahi-Mahi, Large Lingcod
• Techniques: High-pitch jigging, speed jigging, vertical jigging
• Scenarios: Long-range offshore trips, deep-water structure fishing, heavy-current conditions

Key Features

• Streaker Swim Action — erratic, darting movement that triggers reaction bites at depth
• Gorilla Through-Wire Construction — full-body wire for maximum strength on big fish
• Triple Shield Protection — multi-layer finish resists corrosion and chipping
• BKK 5X Assist 5/0 Hooks — premium, heavy-duty hooks fitted from the factory
• Fast-Sink Design — long, slender profile with slightly flat back for quick descent
• 9 Color Options — natural baitfish patterns and glow variants for all conditions and depths

Models & Specs

Tackle Express Tips

• Stay vertical: At 320g, the Streaker is designed to cut through current — but if you're getting too much angle on your line, move to a heavier rod or adjust your drift position. A vertical presentation is always more effective than a diagonal one.
• Go glow in the deep: Below 200 ft, Full Glow Pink, Pink Glow Mackerel, and Silver Glow Stripe are standout producers. Charge them with a UV light between drops for maximum effect.
• Let the drop do the work: On the freefall, keep slight tension on the line so you can feel the hit — big fish often eat the Streaker on the way down before you even start your retrieve.

FAQ

What's the difference between the 200g and 320g Streaker?
The 320g is built for deeper water, stronger current, and larger fish. If you're fishing under 150 ft in moderate current, the 200g is usually sufficient. Step up to the 320g when depth, current, or target species demand more weight and heavier hooks.

What line and leader should I use with the Streaker 320g?
Most anglers run 65–100 lb braid with an 80–130 lb fluorocarbon leader. Heavier leader is recommended when targeting toothy species like wahoo or when fishing around structure where abrasion is a concern.

Which color should I start with?
Sardine and Blue Sardine are great all-around starting points in clear water. In deeper or darker conditions, go with Full Glow Pink, Pink Glow Mackerel, or Silver Glow Stripe. Crimson Tide and Black Pink Mackerel are solid choices when fish are keyed on darker baitfish.

The Nomad Design DTX Minnow 200 Heavy Duty puts an 8-inch sinking minnow into your offshore trolling spread when you want a substantial baitfish profile below the surface. Its Autotune system and reinforced construction make it a purpose-built option for saltwater trolling, with a listed 3–12-knot working range and BKK Diablo 5X single hooks.

When you find promising water, put it into clean water behind the boat and check its swim before setting the rest of your spread. The goal is a consistent presentation you can keep fishing, not a lure that needs constant attention.

Keep Your Deep Runner Tracking

A trolling minnow that wanders can disrupt the spread. The DTX combines Nomad's Autotune system with a Hydrospeed belly eyelet to support its trolling performance. Metal Matrix and Diamond Armor systems add reinforcement for demanding saltwater use. Running depth depends on line, leader, speed, setback, and water conditions; treat the listed 40-foot depth as setup-dependent rather than a fixed depth at every speed.

The Right Pick If...

You want a sinking, deep-running trolling minnow for offshore searching and covering productive water. It suits anglers building a spread for tuna and yellowtail, especially when bait or fish are holding below surface presentations. This is specialized trolling tackle, not the first choice for a lightweight casting setup or a shallow-water presentation.

For a larger profile, compare the Nomad DTX Minnow 220 Heavy Duty. For a shallower floating option, look at the DTX Minnow 180 Heavy Duty Shallow FLT.

Best For

• Offshore saltwater trolling for tuna and yellowtail.
• Adding a subsurface minnow presentation to a mixed trolling spread.
• Covering open water and productive bait areas with tackle matched to your target fish.

Key Features

• Autotune system for trolling performance.
• Metal Matrix plate system and Diamond Armor internal strength system.
• Hydrospeed belly eyelet technology.
• Sinking action and an 8-inch baitfish profile.
• BKK Diablo 5X single hooks in size 11/0.
• Designed and tested by the Nomad Sportfishing Team in Australia.

Models & Specs

Choose a Pattern for Your Spread

Start with Sardine, Candy Pilchard, or a mackerel pattern when those finishes suit the bait around you. Hot Pink and Pink Lava give you contrasting options to test alongside more natural patterns. Use the color selector and photos to choose your finish; vary patterns and watch what gets attention rather than relying on one color for every trip.

Set It Up for a Clean Swim

Pair it with an offshore trolling rod, reel, and leader matched to the fish you expect to encounter. Deploy it where it can swim without fouling other lines, check its action at your chosen speed, and adjust setback and speed as needed. Keep the leader connection clean and inspect hooks, attachment points, and the bib before each deployment.

Tackle Express Tips

• Watch the lure beside or behind the boat at your actual trolling speed before sending it into position.
• Change one variable at a time, such as setback or speed, so you can track what improves the presentation.
• Rinse and dry the lure after saltwater use, and inspect the hooks and leader after a strike.

The Salas O Pop is the widest-body iron Salas makes — 3.2 oz with a concave cupped face that pushes and displaces water on the retrieve. Where a standard surface iron swims side to side on a flat face, the O Pop creates surface commotion: a popping, splashing action that draws fish from distance and triggers strikes from yellowtail, dorado, and surface-feeding pelagics that are looking for a noisy, high-visibility target. It's not a replacement for the 7X Light or 7X Jr — it's a different tool for a different situation, and on the right day it outperforms every conventional surface iron in the box.

The Concave Face Changes Everything

The O Pop's cupped face is what separates it from the rest of the Salas surface iron lineup. On a standard retrieve, the concave face catches water and creates a popping splash with each sweep of the rod or turn of the handle. This surface disturbance does two things: it draws fish from a distance who feel the pressure wave before they see the lure, and it creates a feeding trigger for fish that are keyed on baitfish being pushed or injured at the surface. In flat-calm conditions when a standard iron's subtle action isn't enough to pull fish from depth, or when birds are working and you want to match the commotion of the feeding frenzy, the O Pop is the call.

Hand-Cast in Southern California

The O Pop is hand-cast in California like all Salas irons — individually poured in small runs. Eight colors cover the full range of conditions: sardine and mackerel patterns for forage-matching, Rainbow Sardine and Dorado for offshore and mixed-bait situations, and Scrambled Egg and Mint White for low-light and overcast conditions.

The Right Pick If...

• Fish are on top but the bite is slow and a standard surface iron isn't drawing strikes
• You're fishing in a feeding frenzy or birds are working and you want an iron that matches the surface commotion
• Dorado or other surface-oriented pelagics are in the area and responding to noisy presentations
• Conditions are flat calm and you need a lure that creates its own surface disturbance to draw fish up
• You want a surface iron option that triggers reaction strikes from fish that have seen too many standard irons

Best Fishing Techniques

• Pop-and-pause: Cast, let the iron settle on the surface, then pop with a sharp rod sweep and pause — the concave face throws water on the pop and the iron sits briefly before the next sweep; effective for dorado and yellowtail staged near the surface
• Fast erratic retrieve: Crank fast with the rod tip low to keep the iron working the top 1–2 ft; the cupped face creates a splashing, churning action that triggers reaction strikes from fish already in feeding mode
• Walk the dog: Slow, rhythmic rod tip twitches with controlled slack — the wide body and cupped face make the O Pop walk side to side with more splash than a standard cigar-shaped iron
• Cast into the melee: When birds are working or a school is visibly busting, cast the O Pop into the fray and retrieve fast — the surface commotion matches the feeding energy and draws immediate strikes

Best Conditions

• Flat-calm to moderate surface conditions when fish are visible on top
• Active feeding frenzies — birds working, fish busting, bait being pushed to the surface
• Dorado, yellowtail, and offshore pelagics that are up and looking for noise
• Clear water conditions where the surface splash is visible to fish from depth

Best For

• Yellowtail — surface feeding conditions and situations when standard irons go ignored
• Dorado (mahi-mahi) — aggressive surface feeders that respond strongly to popping presentations
• Bluefin and yellowfin tuna — when busting on top and looking for commotion
• Bonito and barracuda — fast, aggressive surface feeders that react to noise and flash

Key Features

• Weight: 3.2 oz
• Concave cupped face — creates surface splash and water displacement on the retrieve; unique in the Salas lineup
• Widest body in the Salas surface iron lineup
• Hand-cast in Southern California
• 8 color options covering sardine, mackerel, rainbow, dorado, and low-light patterns
• Rigged with split ring; add your preferred treble or single hook

• The O Pop works best with a rod that has enough tip flex to generate the pop action without snapping the iron out of the water — a moderate-fast 7–8 ft spinning or conventional rod in the 20–40 lb class gives you the right loading to throw water on each sweep without ripping the lure sideways. Too stiff a rod and the pop becomes a jerk; too soft and you lose the sharp snap needed to move water.
• For yellowtail on the surface in flat-calm conditions, try a pop-and-pause cadence with 3–5 second pauses between pops. Let the iron sit still on the surface after each pop — the pause gives staged fish time to commit. Yellowtail will often circle the lure on the pause and strike when it moves again.
• Dorado color tip: Dorado on the surface respond exceptionally well to the Dorado and Rainbow Sardine patterns — both have the yellow-green flash that matches the baitfish dorado are typically eating offshore. If you're in dorado territory with birds working, these are your first two choices before going to a natural sardine pattern.

FAQ

How is the O Pop different from the 7X Light or 7X Jr?
The 7X Light and 7X Jr are standard flat-body surface irons that swim side to side on the retrieve. The O Pop has a concave cupped face that displaces water and creates surface splash — it's closer in concept to a metal popper than a traditional surface iron. Use the 7X series when you want a subtle, swimming presentation; use the O Pop when you want noise, splash, and surface commotion to draw fish from distance or trigger reaction strikes.

What size treble hook works best on the O Pop?
Most local anglers run a #1 or 1/0 treble (Owner ST-36 or similar) on the tail split ring. The wider body means you can slightly upsize the hook compared to the 7X Jr without affecting the lure's action significantly. For dorado and larger yellowtail, a 2/0 treble gives more hook exposure. Single Siwash hooks in 3/0–4/0 also work well and reduce fouling on the cast.

Can the O Pop be yo-yoed?
It's a surface iron — the cupped face creates drag on a vertical retrieve and it won't yo-yo effectively. For yo-yo coverage use the Salas 6X Heavy or 7X Heavy.

Rapala's Husky Magnum® will swim at a predetermined depth when trolled. The number in the name of the lure indicates the running depth when trolled with 30 meters of line out.  The Husky Magnum can be trolled almost twice as fast as the original Rapala XRAP so you're able to cover twice as much water increasing the chance of a strike.

If you want to use the Husky Magnum® in shallow water, let the lure run with less line to adjust the running depth. Using thicker line that has more resistance in the water also reduces the running depth.

A precision tool for fast trolling and battling big predators. Husky Magnum® is built tough and designed to swim at a pre-determined depth and run straight at up to 12 knots. It features a tight, strong rolling action that is emphasized with a loud internal rattle. Internal translucent rainbow foil and scale pattern create a natural, life-like appearance.

• Designed for Fast Trolling
• Precision Trolling Depth 15 Feet
• Runs Straight Up to 12 Knots
• Tight Swimming Action
• Loud Rattle
• Internal Pearlescent Foil and Natural Scale Pattern
• Natural Translucent Design
• Heavy-Duty Construction

Built for big game offshore fishing, it's the go-to choice for wahoo, yellowfin tuna, dorado, sailfish, and more.

Key Features

• 20-foot dive depth — gets into the strike zone where pelagics are holding
• Tank tested & swim-true certified — every lure approved by Rapala staff before it ships

Pro Tips

The XRMAG-20's large diving lip creates drag at speed — pair it with 60–80 lb line for best performance and to handle the pressure of big game fish. Specifications

The Nomad Buffalo Jig is a Slow Pitch Jig, or often called a flatfall jig. It is centre balanced and will fall with a fluttering action enticing the fish to strike as the lure falls. It is ideal for sinking through schools of Tuna hanging deep, or using for reef species hanging down deep when worked with long slow flicks of the rod.

The Buffalo comes rigged with a super strong and super sharp BKK assist hook rigged on the tail of the jig to assist with the slower fall rate. One of the most effective jig styles imaginable.

Comes with a single assist hook not shown.

The lightest Tady surface iron

The Tady A1 Light Surface Iron is the lightest surface iron in the Tady lineup at about 1¾ to 2 oz and 5 inches. It's a surface-weight version of the A2 shape, rigged with a single fixed, welded hook. Reach for it in calm conditions when fish are feeding near the top and a heavier iron is more than you need. Hand-crafted in the USA.

Why anglers reach for the A1 Light

• Lightest Tady surface iron: About 1¾–2 oz for a subtle presentation in calm water.
• A2-derived shape: The proven A2 profile, built at surface-iron weight.
• Single fixed welded hook: Fewer tangles on the cast and during the fight, and faster unhooking at the rail.
• Hand-crafted in the USA: Built with the consistency expected from Tady Lures.

How to fish the Tady A1 Light

Cast to feeding fish, working birds or kelp paddies. Let the iron settle for a second or two, then wind steadily with the rod tip pointed down. Don't pump the rod; the iron swims on a steady retrieve. Because it's the lightest Tady surface iron, it's at its best when the wind is calm and you don't need maximum casting distance.

Best for

• Species: Yellowtail, bonito, barracuda, tuna and dorado.
• Conditions: Calm to light wind with fish feeding near the surface.
• Technique: Cast-and-wind surface iron fishing.
• Hook setup: Single fixed welded hook.

Specifications

• Brand: Tady Lures
• Model: A1 Light
• Type: Light surface iron jig
• Weight: Approximately 1¾–2 oz (varies slightly by finish)
• Length: 5 in.
• Hook: Single fixed welded hook
• Construction: Hand-crafted in the USA

Frequently asked questions

How much does the Tady A1 Light weigh?

About 1¾ to 2 oz depending on the finish, with a 5-inch body.

Why choose a single fixed hook?

A welded single hook tangles less on the cast and during the fight, and it comes out of a fish faster at the rail.

How should I retrieve it?

Cast, let it settle briefly, then wind steadily with the rod tip down. The iron creates its own action, so there's no need to pump the rod.

What's the difference between the A1 Light and the A2?

The A1 Light is a light surface iron built on the A2 shape. The A2 is a heavier yo-yo iron, about 4 oz, for fish holding below the surface.
