DaHo Hollow Spectra Threading Needles have been sized by their length so if a customer has more than one of them, they can stand them on their open end and find the one they want by its length, compared to all the other threating needles. Our smallest threading needle, the 10 to 20# size, has a length of 5.3". Each larger threading needle is .1" longer than the last, with our largest 400 to 500# size being 6.5" in length. When we started, we spent a year gathering all of the requested features for our new needles. Having some way to identify the threading needle sizes was one that was requested many times. Due to their size and materials, the length was the only way to address this request.
The DaHo Hollow Spectra Threading Needles are hollow inside, except for the point, so monofilament or fluorocarbon line can be inserted into the needle. Then, the needle with the internal mono/fluoro line, is inserted, or threaded, into the hollow center section of the spectra braid. The needle, and attached mono/fluoro line, is typically inserted inside of the spectra from 3 to 5 feet to provide the best strength of the join. Because of the slick surface of the mono/fluoro line, the end point of the spectra must be finished to secure it to the mono/fluoro line. This finishing is usually done by gluing, serving, crimping, or some combination of these attachments, to the spectra line end. This ensures the join will not slip before the compression pressure occurs in the braid of the hollow spectra line to hold the joined lines together.
The primary size of the threading needle is the ID, or Internal Diameter, indicating the approximate size of the mono/fluoro line that it will fit inside. The threading needle size you need is determined by the size of the mono/fluoro line you are using. The ID sizes of our threading needles can vary up to .002" due to the Stainless Steel Hypodermic tube manufacturing process. This is the standard acceptable size variance of the SS tubes we use to make our needles. As we receive new shipments of needles, the IDs may change up to this .002" size. It is recommended that you select a needle that is at least .002" larger than your line for ease of use. It can also be difficult to fit an exact size of line into a needle. If you have a problem with your line not fitting into one of our needles, please send us an email and we will analyze and resolve the problem.

Pitbull Tackle Braided Line Cutter 2.0
- For Cutting Braided Fishing Line, Monofilament, and Flourocarbon -
These cutters are designed to do one thing exceptionally well; cut braided line. These are the last line cutters you will ever need, period.
Meticulously designed and tested for surgical precision, these braided line cutters are the most precise and efficient cutters on the market. The Pitbull Tackle Braided Line Cutter 2.0 was originally designed to be the best braid cutter on the market, earning 10/10 in the Performance Category on Tackle Tour's Review of the product.
Many anglers see any regular pair of line cutting scissors and assume they'll do just fine, but that's just not the case. So many anglers have been plagued by frustration while dealing with braided lines as they have a tendency to kink and fray around each cut, especially in tight areas around knots and connections. Those troubles are a thing of the past as the Pitbull Tackle Braided Line Cutter 2.0 offers unparalleled cutting ability. The serrated edge design was created to slice through braid effortlessly, keeping a clean, fray-less edge on each cut of braid with no tension applied to the line. Gone are the days of your old cutters mashing the braid several times before finally slicing through. The Pitbull Tackle Braided Line Cutter 2.0 requires NO line tension while cutting braid giving you the cleanest and most precise cut the first time. With these braided line cutters you'll be able to produce smooth connections to leaders, swivels, split rings, hooks, lures etc...
All sorts of features have been included with these cutters to create the simplest, most efficient cutting tool on the market. The spring loaded handle allows for smooth repeated cuts while the locking clip lets any angler store the cutters safely and securely. In addition to all of these features these cutters are engineered with high-quality stainless steel which delivers superb corrosion resistance in both freshwater and saltwater.
Version 2.0
- See the Improvements on the 2.0 Version -
The Pitbull Tackle Braided Line Cutter 2.0 offers even more functionality than it's predecessor. The cutting edges and overall design of the cutter remains completely unchanged, but an integrated Monofilament/Flourocarbon Cutter was added at the base of the cutting blades as well as a lanyard attachment for safely securing your cutters. By adding the mono/flouro cutting area on each blade, the longevity of each cutter is greatly increased as repeated cuts with non-braided lines over time will dull the serrated cutting edge and diminish the effectiveness of the blades. The lanyard attachment is also a new addition as it allows any user to secure their cutter to a boat, backpack, line counter, or even themselves.
The Duran's DFP Super Reel Clamp is fully precision machined out of billet aircraft grade 6061 Aluminum, and 100% made in the USA. Using state of the art CNC milling machines we take the block of aluminum and using various carbide cutters we bring the clamp to life.
This clamp is newest and most versatile clamp in today’s market with confirmed fitment on 40 plus reels it is a true universal clamp all in one. The clamp is designed to be mounted on your rod and to be able to interchange reels without removing any screws or taking off the clamp.
Does NOT fit SX or MX series Avet reels.
Mini Kit
The mini kit comes with smaller screw sets and a shallow dish for smaller diameter rods. Such as UC Rods, Calstar 800 and Seeker 270’s.
Large Kit
The large kit comes with longer screw sizes and a deeper dish for larger diameter rods. Such as Seeker Uluas, 6480’s, 540’s, Phenix HAF, and most 9-10ft jig sticks
The Mini Super Clamp is the first clamp of its kind designed to fit smaller reels on skinnier rods. It fits reels that do not come with stock clamps where an aftermarket attachment is a necessity to mount on a deckhand rod. It fits the Lexa 300, Tranx 300, Avet SXJ(non raptor), Trinidad 12 and Trinidad 16NA to name a few. These reels do not come with a stock clamp and have been an issue mounting on deckhand rods for years. With constant requests we took the challenge and now created a clamp for theses smaller reels. While the clamp is extremely versatile it has its limitations on the diameter rod it can be mounted on. The clamp is designed to fit rod diameters between 1 1/8″ – 7/8″ (28MM- 22MM) which is appropriate for the reel class size 10-25lb rods. Some rod examples are Seeker 196,270, Calstar 800XL, 800L Phenix M1.
Mini Super Clamp Kit Fits:
Shimano: Tranx 300 and 500, Trinidad 10-20 and 16NA, Torium 14-20.
Daiwa: Lexa 300, Saltiga 10-400, Saltist 15-40.
Avet: SXJ (for raptor model must purchase our Avet Replacment Reel Foot)
The Avet Reel Cover is custom made for Avet reels but works with most other brands. It's made of neoprene, similar to what is used for wetsuits. A band wraps around the handle and uses Velcro to adhere to itself to protect the handle. Avet also put a ring on the top so you can attach your lure or hook to it while the reel is on the rod. They come in four sizes to fit most any size reel. We think its the best reel cover we've ever seen.
We have also found the small size great for low profile bait casting reels. We have used it on everything from Daiwa 300's to Shimano Curado's and it fits very well. Try it out on your low profile reel instead of using a lesser quality cover, we think you'll like it.

The DaHo Reverse Latch Threading Needles design came from Jerry Brown, a pioneer in the development of hollow spectra fishing lines. We appreciate his design as this product brings some unique features and ease of use characteristics that we try to provide in all our products. Below is a picture showing the ends of the new DaHo Reverse Latch Needle in detail:
Model | Description | OD Size | Spectra Sizes |
RL0355 | Small Reverse Latch Needle | .0355"/.90mm | 60# to 130# |
RL0420 | Medium Reverse Latch Needle | .042"/1.06mm | 80# to 200# |
RL0500 | Large Reverse Latch Needle | .050"/1.27mm | 130# to 300# |
In the past, one of the first tools available to work with hollow spectra lines were latch needles that originally came from fabric knitting machines. They are still used today, but our Reverse Latch needle is the only tool available that uses the latch mechanism as it was designed to be used - to be pulled through the line, keeping the latch mechanism closed by the line's internal pressure. Without our 'reverse' use of the latch mechanism, the old knitting machine latch needles have to be pushed into the hollow spectra lines causing to latch to open, and usually resulting in significant damage the line's fibers.
Many of the loop creation and splicing techniques require that a line be released by the tool, while it is threaded up another line. Normal loop splicing needles will not work in these situations as they cannot release a line from the loop. In those types of operations, our DaHo Reverse Latch Splicing Needles allow the latch to open, releasing the held line, when needed. Also, since they are now attached to our standard 6" needles, so you can now make longer loops and splices without the limitations of the old latch needles. With our Reverse Latch needle, the latch is always the trailing end of the tool.
We are now offering three sizes of the Reverse Latch Splicing needle. The following table shows the details of the DaHo Reverse Latch Splicing Needles:
If you need a cover for your spinning, conventional, or bait casting reel, the Shimano Reel Cover fit's all Shimano reels but also other brands as well. It's made of neoprene material which will protect your reel from scratches and blemishes.
The padding is sufficient enough to protect it but thin enough so that it's not bulky. It attaches with a premium velcro strap and has vented holes to allow for moisture to escape.
As with all the models, they can be attached to your reel and remain on the rod. The spinning version actually wraps around the rod keeping it and your reel secure and safe. These fit both left and right hand reels but the logo may be upside down on left handed reels. Shimano puts a "1" on the left hand reels model number to indicate they are left handed. For example, the right hand is a Tranx 400 is left hand and the 401. Wondering what size you need for your reel, check out the information below.
The medium round cover will fit Shimano 300 size and 400 size Curado and Tranx reels but it will be loose fitting. As of February 2024, Shimano doesn't make a cover to fit these reels tightly.

Frustrated by years and years of digging your nails in or forcing hooks in between Split Rings because the Gape on your Split Ring is never big enough, or the Split Ring flip flops about while you trying to assemble your lure. Annoyed by damaging and scratching your Splits Rings or surface coatings on your Split Rings, with a sharp gouging edge of a 2 dimensional triangle or Longnose Pliers serrations.
Let me introduce you to our very own designed and patent pending Toit Split Ring Pliers. Starting off with a 3 Dimensional Nose Cone Detail. This allows for rigid work holding in our case a Split Ring, the Split Ring does not flip flop about. Optional 2 Stage functionality, including micro adjustment for controlled movement and controlled sizing of your Gape. Need that extra Gape? Well just give the Split Ring Pliers and the Split Ring a Twist in the optional 2nd stage adjustment.
Toit Split Ring Pliers comes in 3 sizes Small, Medium and Large. Made from a Stainless Steel 410 J1 Forging. Life is simple if you can open a Split Ring with ease. Split Ring size chart below, find out which size tool you require on your Split Ring.
Features:
Stick Jacket Casting rod sleeves work great for protecting your rod from scratches, broken guides, and tangles. The sleeve slips over your rod with ease and keeps the line from catching on other rods.
It acts like a trap and hold tight to the rod until you want to take it off. The brass grommet on the end allows you to hang it up on the wall without falling out (without the reel.)
The jacket falls short of covering the entire rod, it usually stops short enough to have a lure tied on and attached to the hook keeper without hanging up. We recommend not putting a lure on the guides, this will result in snagging on the Stick Jacket.
For rods up to 7-1/2' Long and 3-7/8" round. Mainly freshwater rods or saltwater inshore rods.

The Cork Puppy Reel Clamps are designed to cater our west coast fishery being the use of longer rods with deck hand style grips, that have no reel seats are very common for jig fisherman and those looking for long casts. The deckhand rods allow the fisherman to mount the reel using a rod clamp in a more custom, more comfortable and balanced position, again aiding in longer casts.
The Cork Puppy solves the mounting problem quite well. They fit the majority of rods, and reels made. If your intent is to mount a reel (that has a rod clamp) to a deckhand rod, this product just might be a necessity. There are three sizes, measured by the rod's diameter in the area you intend to mount the reel. It's made of machined 6061-T6 aluminum with type II anodizing.
Sizes: 25mm, 28mm, 31mm

Here are some questions and answers we found on www.bdoutdoors.com that might help you determine what clamp is best for your rod.
Hi guys, been fishing since I was a kid and and have been getting more serious about it recently. At least to the tune of retiring my cheap gear and picking up some decent equipment.
So I recently picked up 2 Californian Tri-Helix deck hand wrap rods. One of them is the 25-60 lb and the other is the 15 - 40 lb. I want to use a Cork Puppy or something other than the stock reel clamps. How do I determine which Cork Puppy to order? There are 3 sizes, and I don't have any calipers to get an accurate measurement. Do any of you know which size puppy I need to buy?
And just to toss it out there, I am putting a PENN JigMaster on the 25-60 lb rod and a Daiwa 40 on the lighter weight rod.
Thanks in advance.
A1. Take a piece of string, go around the circumference of the butt where you want to set the reel, mark it where it meets, measure the length, divide by 3.14 for the diameter.
They have some adjustment to them.
A2. After you get your measurement multiply it by 25.4 to convert it to mm's.
A3. Typically a 10 to 25# rated rod is a 25mm, 15-30 to about 30-60 are 28mm and your big jig rods like a 90 or 100j or Ulua or baby Ulua are the 31 mm size.
I'd guess a 28mm for both.
A4. My 875h has a 25, 800xh a 28, and my 90j has a 31. All are strait corktape with no x rap. They work best when they hug the sides as well
The Tackle Express rod bungee is perfect for keeping all your rods together and secure. They are made of a small elastic bungee that keeps constant pressure on the rods so they don't loosen or come apart.
The locking mechanism keeps them together but is also easy to loosen, simply move the button back and they come loose. They are extremely durable and can withstand natures elements for years.
The soft pad makes sure the locking mechanism doesn't damage the rods or guides.
