DD stands for Deep Diver — and this 3" suspending jerkbait dives 5–7 feet, putting it right in the face of fish that are holding just out of reach of the standard Pointer 78.

Like all Pointer models, the 78DD is engineered with a specially designed brass weight system that creates an ultra-low center of gravity. Stop the retrieve and the bait wobbles and vibrates in place — emitting a subtle, bass-calling vibration that triggers strikes from lethargic, cold-water fish. A short twitch of the rod tip sends it darting side to side in a fluid underwater walk-the-dog action. And here's a pro tip straight from the Tackle Express team: use 6–8 lb fluorocarbon on a full spool — fluoro is heavier than braid and helps the bait reach maximum depth. Braid floats and will prevent the lure from diving properly.
