The Power Pro Maxcuatro Metered Braided Line is a high-performance "superline" specifically engineered for precision deep-dropping, trolling, and jigging. It combines the ultra-thin profile of Maxcuatro technology with a multi-colored metered pattern to help you accurately gauge depth and line distance.

Key Performance Features

• 25% Thinner Profile: Utilizes next-gen Honeywell Spectra HT fiber to be 25% thinner than standard Power Pro of the same pound test. This allows you to pack more line on a smaller reel or use a heavier breaking strength on your current setup.

• Precision Metering: Features a repeating pattern of five colors (blue, yellow, red, green, and orange) that change every 100 feet. This mimics the Depth-Hunter Offshore pattern, making it easy to return to the strike zone repeatedly.

• Advanced Construction: The 4-end construction is treated with Enhanced Body Technology (EBT), resulting in a rounder, smoother line that offers increased sensitivity for strike detection and reduced friction for longer casts.

• Reduced Drag: The thinner diameter creates less water resistance, which is critical for deep-dropping as it allows you to use less lead weight to reach and hold the bottom.

 SEAGUAR ABRAZX
Seaguar Abrazx Fluorocarbon Fishing Line has unparalleled abrasion resistance and amazing knot strength.  We love it when fishing around cover that is sharp and can cause abrasion to your line.  Increased exposure to abrasion will cause your line to break under its original line strength.  We find it great for jigs, flipping, bottom fishing, and many other conditions.

Rocks, weeds, docks. Hit the heavy cover with confidence. Now your whole spool can handle the toughest conditions with a main line fluorocarbon designed with unparalleled abrasion resistance.

Seaguar Abrazx can be used in both spinning reels and bait casting reels but we find it better on casting reels. The line has exceptional knot and impact strength and is extremely soft and sensitive for better feel and smoother casting. As with all 100% Fluorocarbon products, Abrazx is much less visible underwater than monofilament line and virtually invisible to fish. The line is also UV resistant, chemical resistant, non-absorbant, high-density and impervious to cold conditions.

• 100% Fluorocarbon• LB. Test: 4 LB. - 25 LB.
• Diameter: .165 mm/.007 in. - .435 mm/.017 in.
• Spool Lengths: 200 Yards

Izorline First String Clear Wind-On Top Shots are the fastest, Stronest, and easiest way to connect Spectre/Braid to Mono. There is a small learning curve to fishing Wind-On Top Shots.

Izorline First String Clear Wind-On Top Shots have a spectra loop on the end so you're going to need to serve a loop in your hollow core spectra to make the loop to loop connection and if you do not have hollow core then, you'd have to tie a Bimini twist loop in the end of your solid spectra to make the right connection.

A Wind-On Top Shot is one of the most in-line connections from braid to mono making it virtually silent and smooth going through the guides on the rod. Also a Loop to Loop connection is the strongest connection for spectra to mono.  Some anglers like monofilament over fluorocarbon because monofilament has more stretch.  That stretch acts like a rubber band and give a shock absorber when a fish trashes or changes direction quickly.  Fluorocarbon is harder for the fish to see and is generally better during the daytime hours.

The premium tier of the Daiwa J-Braid family, the J-Braid X8 Grand is an 8-carrier braided line spun with Izanas — a state-of-the-art high-performance fiber from Japan that delivers 4 times the abrasion resistance of a typical 4-carrier braid at the same breaking strength. The 8-carrier construction produces a rounder, more uniform line profile that lays smoothly on the spool, casts farther, and runs through guides with less friction than conventional 4-carrier braid. Strong, abrasion-resistant, and supple enough for smooth spool lay — the X8 Grand covers freshwater and saltwater applications from ultralight finesse to heavy offshore. Available in Chartreuse (6–50 lb) and Dark Green (6–65 lb).

Key Features

• Izanas 8-Carrier Construction — Spun with Izanas, a premium high-performance fiber from Japan; 8 carriers produce a rounder, more uniform line profile than 4-carrier braid for smoother spool lay, longer casts, and reduced guide friction.
• 4x Abrasion Resistance — Izanas fiber delivers 4 times the abrasion resistance of a typical 4-carrier braid at the same breaking strength; handles rocks, structure, and abrasive cover that would damage conventional braid.
• Smooth Spool Lay — Well-bodied construction lays smoothly and evenly on the spool without digging in or creating uneven layers that cause casting problems.
• Small Diameter — Izanas construction achieves a smaller diameter per pound test than conventional braid, allowing more line on the spool and improved casting distance.
• Two Color Options — Chartreuse for high-visibility line watching and strike detection; Dark Green for natural blending in vegetation-heavy or stained water environments.
• Wide Line Weight Range — Chartreuse available in 6–50 lb; Dark Green available in 6–65 lb for heavy freshwater and saltwater applications.

Line Diameter by Weight

Color Selection Guide

• Chartreuse (6–50 lb) — High-visibility chartreuse for line watching, strike detection, and any application where seeing the line is an advantage. Best for freshwater bass, walleye, and situations where detecting subtle bites on slack line is critical.
• Dark Green (6–65 lb) — Natural blending in vegetation-heavy, stained, or green-water environments. Best for bass in heavy cover, freshwater fishing around grass and weeds, and saltwater applications where a low-visibility line color is preferred. Only color available in 65 lb.

Best For

• Freshwater Bass & Structure Fishing — 4x abrasion resistance handles rocks, wood, and heavy cover that would damage conventional braid; smooth spool lay and small diameter improve casting distance on spinning and baitcasting setups.
• Finesse Applications — 6–10 lb: Smallest diameter Izanas braid for ultralight spinning, drop shot, ned rig, and finesse techniques where thin diameter and smooth lay are critical for lure action and casting distance.
• Versatile Freshwater & Light Saltwater — 15–30 lb: Mid-range weights for bass, walleye, inshore saltwater, and applications requiring a balance of strength, diameter, and abrasion resistance.
• Heavy Freshwater & Saltwater — 40–65 lb: Heavier weights for offshore topshots, heavy cover bass, and saltwater applications requiring maximum strength and abrasion resistance. 65 lb available in Dark Green only.

The Finesse Braid Built for Precision Anglers

When the bite is tough and every presentation counts, you need a line that casts effortlessly, holds strong, and gives you a visual edge on subtle strikes. The SPRO Finesse Braid 8X in Flash Pink was engineered specifically for finesse applications — drop shots, ned rigs, shaky heads, and any technique where feel and control win the day.

Built for Finesse, Proven on the Water

Constructed from premium Japanese fibers in an 8-carrier braid configuration, the SPRO Finesse 8X Flash Pink is noticeably smoother than 4-strand alternatives. That smoothness translates directly into longer, quieter casts and reduced guide wear — critical when you're making hundreds of presentations in a single session.

Why Standard Braid Falls Short

Most braided lines are built for power fishing — heavy cover, big baits, maximum strength. Finesse fishing demands something different: a line thin enough to feel every tick of a drop shot, quiet enough not to spook pressured fish, and strong enough to handle a surprise big bite. Standard 4-strand braid is too coarse, too loud, and too stiff. The SPRO Finesse 8X solves all three problems.

Why 8-Strand Wins Here

The 8-carrier construction creates a rounder, denser braid profile that glides through guides with minimal friction. The result: exceptional castability, near-silent retrieves, and a line that lays flat on your spool without digging or bunching. Pair that with phenomenal abrasion resistance and incredibly high knot strength, and you have a finesse line that can handle rocks, docks, and unexpected trophy fish without flinching.

The Right Pick If...

• You want a high-visibility pink line for easy bite detection on spinning gear
• You're fishing drop shots, ned rigs, shaky heads, or wacky rigs
• You're targeting pressured bass, trout, or panfish in clear to stained water
• You want a braid-to-fluorocarbon leader setup for finesse applications
• You fish light jigs or small swimbaits in open water or around light cover

Best Fishing Techniques

• Drop shot — feel every subtle tap with zero stretch sensitivity
• Ned rig / mushroom head — perfect for slow, subtle bottom presentations
• Shaky head — ideal for dragging and hopping in rocky structure
• Wacky rig — smooth casting with spinning gear, minimal line twist
• Light swimbait — maintain feel and control on slow retrieves

Best Conditions

• Clear to lightly stained water — flash pink high-vis color aids bite detection
• Pressured fisheries where finesse presentations outperform power fishing
• Rocky or hard-bottom structure where abrasion resistance is critical
• Calm to moderate conditions where casting distance and accuracy matter

Best For

• Species: Largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, spotted bass, trout, panfish

Tackle Express Tips

• Go with a fluorocarbon leader: Tie 6–10 ft. of 6–10 lb. fluorocarbon to your braid with an Alberto or FG knot for near-invisible presentations in clear water.
• Match your line test to your rod: The 6–8 lb. sizes shine on ultralight to light spinning rods; step up to 10–12 lb. for medium-light rods fishing around light cover.
• Use the Flash Pink to your advantage: Watch the line where it enters the water — a subtle twitch or sideways movement often signals a bite before you feel it in your hand.

FAQ

Is the SPRO Finesse Braid 8X Flash Pink good for spinning reels?
Yes — the 8-carrier construction creates a round, smooth profile that lays evenly on spinning spools and minimizes line twist, making it an excellent choice for spinning setups.

Should I use a leader with this braid?
For most finesse applications in clear water, yes. A 6–10 ft. fluorocarbon leader in matching or slightly lighter pound test will reduce visibility at the business end while keeping the sensitivity benefits of braid.

Does the pink color spook fish?
No — Flash Pink is a high-visibility color for the angler, not the fish. It disappears underwater at depth and is designed to help you detect subtle bites by watching the line, not to attract or spook fish.

Seaguar Pink Label™ 100% fluorocarbon leader material is made from exclusive Seaguar resins. Pink Label is soft and supple with superior strength, abrasion resistance and minimal stretch. It's also lightweight and buoyant, so it can cast farther and perform better underwater than other fluorocarbon lines.

The pink color is one of the first colors to disappear in water making it even more invisible than other colored or non colored lines.  We have had bites where they would only bite pink label, it's worth a try if you haven't already.

Ande Monofilament Leader line is perfect for short or medium size top shots or leaders.  We like Ande line for it's strength and low memory.  The abrasion resistance is fantastic reducing the change of breaking off on toothy creatures including bluefin tuna.

The old sayhing about Ande Line is "Andy is dandy because it's rubber-bandy."  The stretch in this line is amazing and is known as an insurance policy on big fish.  The more the line stretches, the less chance of it breaking.  It simply rebounds to it's previous self during the fight.  That said, after you catch a big fish you should change your leader out.

Here's a mainline that delivers all the benefits of 100% fluorocarbon at a price everybody will love. Seaguar BasiX 100% Fluorocarbon is made from 100% custom Seaguar fluorocarbon resins so it's virtually invisible underwater and boasts the kind of knot strength and abrasion resistance you expect from Seaguar. Basix is a soft, supple, easy-casting line that comes off a reel smoothly for a fret-free fishing experience.

P-Line Original Line features a smaller diameter, decreased memory, and a suppleness that makes heavy leaders easier to fish.  The decreased line diameter gives anglers an improved line capacity without compromising strength or abrasion resistance. Popular with both Freshwater and Saltwater anglers alike, the P-Line Original Line delivers an improved co-polymer with unparalleled durability and an enhanced performance.
