The Nomad Madmacs High Speed Trolling Lure is a sinking super high speed trolling minnow capable of being trolled at speeds of up to 20kn for the 6" - 8" Model and up to 15kn for the 10" Model. Lead Egg Sinkers can be used in so many ways while fishing it's hard to say how the best way to use them is.  For live bait fishing offshore in Southern California, we use them most often to get our bait deeper in the column.  Often times the bird will eat your bait and just a little weight can get it out of reach of the birds and in the mouth of the fish.  

In freshwater, they are often used for fishing the Carolina Rig for many different species.  These lead weights are made by Leadmasters and are premium quality.  Get some as an add on to your order like most of our customers do.  We also have torpedo weights if you're looking for weights over 1oz.

 The Shimano Current Sniper Jerkbait is designed with Shimano's unique Propulsion Weight Transfer System for exceptional long distance casting - allowing the internal weight to slide back during the cast, and then springing forward when the lure hits the water. Ideal to target both calico bass and Yellowtail in SoCal waters and stripers on the East coast.  This was previously known as the Coltsniper.

Along with covering lots of water from lengthy casts - up to 22-percent longer than similar weight and length lures, anglers can work the Currentsniper jerkbait in a tight wobble action, or slide action by jerking it. With a slow floating design, it can be fished down to 3 - to 5-foot depths. Chemical finish treble hooks are featured at both mid-body and at the tail.

 Deps Cover Scat Stick Bait is poured with a bulky body and an ultra-high specific gravity material that boasts 40% salt content. Despite its relatively small size, the Cover Scat is heavy stick bait packed with tons of salt.  The Deps Cover Scat is for sale in 17 colors.

Designed to be fished without any extra weight, this stick bait features a fast horizontal fall and uses body stabilization fins at the sides to encourage the proper posture. 

A molded hook guard slot and belly hook slot allows for easy rigging and improves your hook-up rate with less plastic to shift down the hook, while the bulb on the top of the bait serves as a hook point guard to keep the presentation completely weedless.

With no additional legs, the Deps Cover Scat Stick Bait gets in and out of cover with ease and is ideal for fishing around heavy cover and vertical structure like overhanging trees, dams, dock pilings, and bushes along the shoreline.

If you need a cover for your spinning, conventional, or bait casting reel, the Shimano Reel Cover fits all Shimano reels but also other brands as well. It's made of neoprene material which will protect your reel from scratches and blemishes. These reel covers fit both right and left hand reels.

The padding is sufficient enough to protect it but thin enough so that it's not bulky. It attaches with a premium velcro strap and has vented holes to allow for moisture to escape.

As with all the models, they can be attached to your reel and remain on the rod. The spinning version actually wraps around the rod keeping it and your reel secure and safe. These fit both left and right hand reels but the logo may be upside down on left handed reels. Shimano puts a "1" on the left hand reels model number to indicate they are left handed. For example, the right hand is a Tranx 400 is left hand and the 401. Wondering what size you need for your reel, check out the information below.

The medium round cover will fit Shimano 300 size and 400 size Curado and Tranx reels but it will be loose fitting. As of February 2024, Shimano doesn't make a cover to fit these reels tightly.

 When fish are breaking the surface or just subsurface, the Shimano Current Sniper Sinking Stickbait is going to be deadly!  This sinking stickbait is perfect for when fish are feeding on the surface and uses superior finishes and stout 3X strong hooks and split rings.  There are several retrieval methods that can be used effectively on many different predator fish.  

This was previously known as the Coltsniper.

Subsurface walk-the-dog is a very effective method and creates the illusion of a fleeing baitfish.  This can be more easily created using a spinning setup like the Shimano Thunnus and Shimano Terez but conventional rods and reels may also be used. Moving the rod tip while winding the reel with short pauses will cuase the bait to move left and right.  It's very important to give the lure some slack after pulling it each time.  If slack isn't given after each pull, the lure will not have the line needed to glide momentarily before you pull it again.  Skipping the lure on the surface is also a technique that can invoke a strike. Cast as far as you can and don't let it sink out.  Wind back the lure as fast as you can so that it skips on the surface.

We are excited to use the Shimano Current Sniper Stickbait on yellowtail, tuna, calico bass and striper here in Southern California.  We are sure it will work for any agressive predator fish you have.  Ideally we would use a 8,000 to 12,000 size Shimano Thunus or Stella spinning reel and an 8' to 9' Shimano Terez or Ocea Plugger spinning rod.  Line class is going to depend on what you are fishing for but 50-80lb Power Pro with a 4-7 foot monofilament or fluorocarbon leader would be ideal.  The leader size will differ but 30-50lb line would be normal range for this type of fishing.  Using a split ring on the nose with a solid ring on the split ring would allow the lure to move correctly.  You can also tie a loop knot of your chose to allow lure movement.
