The Pitbull Tackle Split Ring Pliers are a practical approach to a long sought after tool. Designed with functionality and user comfort in mind, Pitbull Tackle set out to improve the typical design of a split ring plier and give it better functionality.

What sets these pliers apart from the rest is a double lock head design. This feature holds the split ring firmly in place and does not allow it to slip out of the pliers grip. Traditionally a split ring plier when closed will hold the split ring in place, however the split ring can rotate up and down within the pliers grip. The double lock design on the Pitbull Tackle Split Ring Plier grabs and holds split rings in place, keeping them perpendicular to the pliers at all times. This ensures a steady and consistent angle every time, allowing for easier placement or removal of hooks and lures. Once in your hand you can feel the pliers open and lock in the split rings with ease.

Jigs are not all the same and the Bass Patrol Football Jigs are in a class of their own.  They have a japanese style head and each one is hand tied for longevity and durability.  The premium skirts and Gamakatsu hooks put this little baby up an a very tall pedestal.  

The low price of these jigs does not represent the quality and you can loose them without throwing a temper tantrum.

Specs

Team Davies Tear Shot Tungsten Worm Weights are 99% tungsten and do not have a sleeve inside.  There is a lot of talk about what is better, sleeve or no sleeve.  We prefer no sleeve because the sleeve can cause abrasion on the ends but can also fall out.  When it falls out, it's rougher in the inside than it would have been had it no sleeve at all.  When it starts out with no sleeve, the inside is smooth and usually has a powder paint coating to deter any nicks or damage to your line.  We've had more problems with sleeved weights than non sleeve and Team Davies agrees.  We have never had a complaint for over 4 years and we think these are a great value for a great product.

Some anglers like the sleeve, others prefer it without.  We haven't noticed any difference between the two but maybe on light line it would cause chaffing on the line.
