Mustad Ultrapoint KVD Elite Triple Grip Treble 6 PK

The Mustad Ultrapoint KVD Elite Treble Hooks feature 2X short shank and 1X strong wire.  The 2X short shank means that it's shorter than a normal shank by 1 increment.  For the sake of discussion, if you have a 1 inch long shank on a normal hook, the 2X short would be half of that or 1/2 inch long.  

The 2 extra short shank eliminates hook tangling that can occur with long shank trebles. The shorter shank also opens the gap and adds clearance.  Due to the wider gap, you can replace size 4 trebles with size 2 trebles to increase hook performance.
