Shimano SpeedMaster II 2-Speed Lever Drag Reels are all about power and performance. Anglers have been practically begging Shimano to come out with a lever drag reel at an incredible price and they have finally delivered. The SpeedMaster II is available in 4 sizes depending on the size of fish you are targeting. These two-speed reels are extremely powerful and are designed for nearshore and offshore fishing. It excels at bottom fishing in deep water as well as light trolling.
Shimano has a 5.7:1 and 1.3:1 gear ratios so you can really crank in big fish from deep water. The SpeedMaster II features an all metal body that is rigid and strong, and a powerful carbon drag system that puts out 40 lbs of drag at max. That is a lot of drag! Four ball bearings and a little Shimano engineering wizardry make this reel extremely smooth.
