Owner ST-36 Red Treble Hooks are great for changing out hooks on your favorite lures for bass, walleye, stripers, and many other smaller game fish.  These hooks are 1X strong meaning that they are regular strength hooks.  When  a hook is 2X, it's twice as strong as the 1X and so on.  Owner makes 2X, 3X and 4X strong in different models like the ST-41, ST-58, and ST-66.  

These hooks are red in color but Owner makes them in other colors like Black Chrome and Tin.  Tin hooks are good for freshwater and saltwater but shine in saltwater because the tin finish is more corrosion resistant.

We like this hook because it's not too deep for plastic worms but it has a bigger gap than a traditional offset worm hook.  Works great for any rig fished on the bottom that doesn't have a thick plastic.

The Owner ST-76TN 5X Treble Hooks are bigger and badder than any hook Owner has made in the past. These 5X strong treble hooks are made for battles with tuna, amberjack, and other large species. Perfect for monster poppers, flyers, or Nomad Madmacs lures.. Features include a short shank, three super sharp "power points," and a corrosion-resistant vacuum-tinned finish. 

We like the Owner ST-76TN 5X Trebles because they just don't fail.  The superior strength and sharp point hold up against the biggest fish.  Make sure you have split ring pliers that are large enough to open the split ring around the heavy gauge wire of this hook.  A few great options are Toit Large Split Ring Pliers or Texas Tackle XL Split Ring Pliers.  These will open up even the strongest split rings, we recommend Owner Ultra Wire Split Rings, they are incredibly strong. 

If you really want to go the extra mile, weld the rings on instead of using a split ring.  It takes a little practice but it's really the best way to go.  That said, we have rarely heard of the Owner Ultra Wire Split Ring failing.  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.
