Owner Mutu Circle Hooks feature a 2X strong shank rated for lines up to 50 lb test. The medium-diameter wire minimizes bait damage, allowing live bait to swim more naturally — a key advantage when fish are finicky. Circle hook design promotes corner-of-the-mouth hookups, reducing deep-hooking and improving release rates.
Best For
Tuna (up to ~60 lbs), yellowtail, halibut, and other Southern California offshore species. Ideal for live bait fishing with sardines, anchovies, or mackerel. Works well on 20–50 lb fluorocarbon or monofilament leaders.
Circle Hook Tip
Do not swing the rod when you get bit. Simply turn the reel handle until the line comes tight — the circle hook will set itself in the corner of the mouth.
