Why Buy the Yamamoto Double Tail Grub?
The Yamamoto Double Tail Grub is the go-to when you need more action, more bulk, and more disturbance than a single tail grub can deliver. Two curly tails working simultaneously create a larger disturbance that helps fish hone in on your bait from a distance — making it one of the most effective jig trailers, spider jig components, and spinnerbait trailers in the Yamamoto lineup. Add it to a Yamamoto Skirt to build your own custom spider jig color combination, or pin it onto a spinnerbait to slow your retrieve and add extra bulk and resistance. Available in 4" and 5" sizes, 20 per pack.
Main Use & Benefit
A dual curly tail grub available in 4" and 5" sizes that produces twice the disturbance and action of a single tail — ideal as a jig trailer, spider jig component, and spinnerbait trailer where extra bulk, resistance, and tail action trigger strikes that a single tail can't match.
Problem It Solves
A single tail grub adds action to a jig or spinnerbait, but sometimes you need more — more bulk to slow the fall, more disturbance to attract fish from a distance, and more tail action to trigger strikes on the pause. The Double Tail Grub's two curly tails deliver all three, making it the upgrade choice when a single tail isn't getting the job done.
Advantages
- ✅ Dual curly tails — twice the disturbance and action of a single tail grub
- ✅ Extra bulk and resistance — slows the fall and retrieve on jigs and spinnerbaits
- ✅ Spider jig compatible — pairs with Yamamoto Skirts for custom color combinations
- ✅ Yamamoto soft plastic formula — supple for great hook penetration, realistic feel
- ✅ Available in 4" and 5" sizes — choose based on jig size and target species
- ✅ Wide range of proven Yamamoto colors
- ✅ 20 per pack
- ⚠️ More bulk than a single tail — can overpower smaller jigs; best on 3/8 oz and larger
When to Choose It
Reach for the Double Tail Grub when you want to add more action, bulk, and disturbance to a jig or spinnerbait than a single tail can provide — especially when you need to slow your retrieve, when fish are keying on a larger profile, or when you want to build a custom spider jig with a Yamamoto Skirt. Choose the 4" for standard jig and spinnerbait applications, and the 5" when you want maximum bulk and a slower fall on larger jigs.
Best Fishing Techniques
- Jig Trailer — pin onto a 3/8–1/2 oz flipping jig, football jig, or swim jig; the dual tails add kicking action on every hop and a slower fall that triggers strikes on the pause
- Spider Jig — combine with a Yamamoto Skirt on a round head jig for a custom spider jig; the dual tails complement the skirt's action for a full, pulsing presentation
- Spinnerbait Trailer — pin onto a 3/8–1/2 oz spinnerbait to add bulk, resistance, and dual tail action that slows the retrieve and triggers strikes on the pause
- Buzzbait Trailer — pin onto a buzzbait for extra bulk and a kicking tail action that keeps fish committed on the bite
- Jighead — thread onto a 1/4–3/8 oz round jighead for a standalone swimming presentation with maximum tail action
Best Conditions
- Stained to murky water where extra disturbance helps fish locate the bait
- Heavy cover and structure where a slower fall triggers more strikes
- Warm water (summer and early fall) when bass are active and keying on larger profiles
- Year-round as a jig trailer — the dual tails produce action in any water temperature
- Any depth — equally effective shallow on spinnerbait and deep on football jig

Tackle Express Tips
- Match size to jig weight — Use the 4" Double Tail on jigs 3/8 oz and under for a balanced profile. Move to the 5" on 1/2 oz and larger jigs — the extra bulk and resistance of the 5" complements heavier jigs and produces a slower, more enticing fall on football jigs dragged over deep structure.
- Build a spider jig with a Yamamoto Skirt — The Double Tail Grub is one of the best spider jig components available. Pair a Cinnamon w/ Black & Purple Flake 4" with a matching Yamamoto Skirt on a 3/8 oz round head jig for a custom color combination that's deadly for largemouth in heavy cover. The dual tails complement the skirt's pulsing action perfectly.
- Slow down on the spinnerbait — The Double Tail Grub adds significant bulk and resistance to a spinnerbait — use this to your advantage by slowing your retrieve speed. The extra bulk causes the spinnerbait to helicopter and flutter on the pause, and the dual tails keep working even when the blade stops. If fish are short-striking, slow down before switching colors.
FAQ
Q: What's the difference between the 4" and 5" Double Tail Grub?
A: The 4" is the standard size for most jig trailer and spinnerbait applications — it adds bulk and dual tail action without overpowering smaller jigs (3/8 oz and under). The 5" has more bulk and resistance, making it better for larger jigs (1/2 oz and up), football jig trailers on deep structure, and situations where you want maximum bulk and a slower fall.
Q: How do I build a spider jig with the Double Tail Grub?
A: Thread the Double Tail Grub onto a 3/8–1/2 oz round head jig, then slide a Yamamoto Skirt up the hook shank so it sits behind the jig head. The skirt's tentacles and the grub's dual tails work together to create a full, pulsing presentation. Match the grub color to the skirt color or go contrasting for a reaction color combination.
Q: Can the Double Tail Grub be fished solo on a jighead?
A: Yes — thread it onto a 1/4–3/8 oz round jighead for a standalone presentation with maximum tail action. The dual tails produce significantly more disturbance than a single tail grub on the same jighead, making it effective in stained water and when fish are keying on a larger, more active profile.
Why Buy the Yamamoto 4" Single Tail Grub?
The Yamamoto 4" Single Tail Grub is a staple in any serious angler's tackle box — a classic curly tail design that has been catching fish for decades across virtually every technique and condition. Its natural, lifelike swimming action attracts bass, walleye, pike, and more, whether fished solo on a jighead or as a trailer on jigs, spinnerbaits, and buzzbaits. Crafted with Yamamoto's signature soft plastic formula, the body is supple for excellent hook penetration while still holding up through multiple fish. 20 per pack, 9 proven colors.
Main Use & Benefit
A 4-inch classic curly tail grub that delivers natural, lifelike swimming action with subtle vibration and flash at any retrieve speed — the ideal size for finesse jighead presentations, spinnerbait and buzzbait trailers, and any situation where a compact, versatile soft plastic gets more bites than a larger profile.
Problem It Solves
Many soft plastics require specific techniques or conditions to produce. The Yamamoto 4" Single Tail Grub is the opposite — its curly tail produces natural action at any retrieve speed, in any water clarity, on any rig. The 4" size hits the sweet spot between compact enough for finesse presentations and large enough to attract quality fish, making it the most versatile size in the Single Tail Grub lineup.
Advantages
- ✅ Classic 4" curly tail profile — proven fish-catcher for decades across multiple species
- ✅ Natural swimming action — subtle vibration and flash at any retrieve speed
- ✅ Versatile — jighead, spinnerbait trailer, buzzbait trailer, swim jig trailer, Carolina rig

- ✅ Multi-species — bass, walleye, pike, inshore saltwater
- ✅ 9 color options including natural, reaction, and luminous shades
- ✅ 20 per pack — excellent value for a high-use trailer and jighead bait
- ⚠️ 4" compact profile — for a bigger profile or more bulk as a trailer, consider the 5" Single Tail Grub
When to Choose It
Reach for the 4" Single Tail Grub when you want a compact, versatile grub for finesse jighead presentations, when you need a trailer that adds action without too much bulk to a spinnerbait or buzzbait, or when you want a proven, simple presentation that works in any conditions. It's the go-to when you want to keep it simple and let the bait do the work.
Best Fishing Techniques
- Jighead — thread onto a 1/8–1/4 oz round or football jighead for a natural swimming presentation; the curly tail pulses and flutters on a slow, steady retrieve or on the fall
- Spinnerbait Trailer — pin onto a 3/8–1/2 oz spinnerbait to add tail action and a slightly slower fall that triggers strikes on the pause
- Buzzbait Trailer — pin onto a buzzbait to add a kicking tail action that keeps fish committed on the bite and improves hookset ratios
- Swim Jig Trailer — pin onto a 3/8 oz swim jig for a natural swimming presentation through grass edges, laydowns, and open water
- Carolina Rig — thread onto a 1/0–2/0 hook, 18–24" behind a 1/2–3/4 oz Carolina weight; drag slowly along the bottom for a natural, swimming presentation over hard structure
Best Conditions
- Year-round — the curly tail produces action in any water temperature and clarity
- Clear to murky water — natural colors for clear, reaction and luminous colors for stained/night
- Open water, grass edges, and structure on jighead and Carolina rig

Tackle Express Tips
- Match jighead weight to depth and retrieve speed — Use a 1/8 oz jighead for shallow, slow presentations (under 8ft) where you want a natural, drifting fall. Move to a 1/4 oz for mid-depth (8–18ft) or when you need to cover water faster. A 2/0 hook is the right size for the 4" body — don't go too heavy or you'll kill the tail action.
- Luminous White for night fishing and low light — The Luminous White (#038) is one of the most underrated colors in the lineup — charge it with a flashlight before casting and it glows in the water, making it deadly for night bass fishing and low-light conditions. Chartreuse w/ Large Black Flake (#156) is your go-to reaction color in stained water during the day.
- The 4" is the sweet spot for walleye — The 4" Single Tail Grub on a 1/8–1/4 oz jighead is one of the most proven walleye presentations ever made. Smoke w/ Large Black Flake (#231) and Chartreuse w/ Large Green & Chartreuse Flake (#169) are top walleye colors. Drag it slowly along the bottom or use a lift-and-drop retrieve over structure.
FAQ
Q: What's the difference between the 4" and 5" Single Tail Grub?
A: The 4" is the most versatile size — compact enough for finesse jighead presentations and light trailer applications, while still large enough to attract quality fish. The 5" has more bulk and a bigger profile, making it better for larger bass, pike, and situations where you want more bulk as a spinnerbait or buzzbait trailer. Start with the 4" for most situations and move to the 5" when you want more presence in the water.
Q: What jighead size works best with the 4" Single Tail Grub?
A: A 1/8–1/4 oz round jighead is the standard starting point. Use a 1/8 oz for a slower fall in shallow water or when fish are finicky, and a 1/4–3/8 oz for deeper water or when you need to cover water faster. A 2/0 hook is the right size for the 4" body.
Q: Is the 4" Single Tail Grub good for walleye?
A: Yes — it's one of the most proven walleye jighead baits available. The 4" profile is the ideal size for walleye, and the curly tail produces action at the slow retrieve speeds walleye prefer. Smoke w/ Large Black Flake and Chartreuse w/ Large Green & Chartreuse Flake are top walleye color picks.

The Reaction Innovations Little Dipper 3.5" is a compact paddle tail swimbait built around a thumping tail action that produces a tight, rhythmic thump on the retrieve — effective as a standalone swimbait on a jig head or weighted hook, and equally effective as a trailer on a swim jig, chatterbait, or umbrella rig. The 3.5" profile matches smaller baitfish and is ideal for finesse and pressured conditions where a larger swimbait profile gets ignored. 9 per pack in 6 colors.
Key Features
- Thumping Paddle Tail — Tight Rhythmic Action — The paddle tail produces a tight, thumping action on the retrieve that creates vibration and water displacement; the tail thumps rhythmically at a wide range of retrieve speeds, from a slow roll near the bottom to a faster mid-water retrieve; the tight thump is most effective for triggering reaction strikes from bass that are actively feeding on baitfish.
- 3.5" Compact Profile — Finesse & Pressured Conditions — The 3.5" size matches smaller shad, shiners, and baitfish profiles and is most effective when bass are keying on smaller forage or when a larger swimbait profile is getting ignored; compact enough for light jig heads (1/8–3/16 oz) and finesse swim jig applications.
- Versatile Trailer & Standalone Applications — Effective as a standalone swimbait on a jig head or weighted hook, and as a trailer on a swim jig, chatterbait, or umbrella rig; the paddle tail adds action to any moving bait application.
- 9 Per Pack — 6 Colors — Nine baits per pack across 6 colors spanning shad, bream, and natural baitfish patterns.

- Swim Jig Trailer — Primary Application — Thread the Little Dipper on the back of a swim jig for a full-profile baitfish presentation; the paddle tail adds a thumping action to the swim jig on the retrieve that complements the jig’s skirt movement; most effective on a steady retrieve through grass edges, laydowns, and open water.
- Chatterbait Trailer — Thread on the back of a chatterbait for a swimbait trailer that adds profile and paddle tail action to the blade’s vibration; the combination of the chatterbait’s blade thump and the Little Dipper’s paddle tail creates a highly effective baitfish presentation for reaction strikes.
- Umbrella Rig — Use as one of the trailer baits on an umbrella rig for a multi-bait schooling baitfish presentation; the 3.5" size is ideal for umbrella rig applications where a compact profile is needed.
- Standalone Swimbait — Jig Head — Thread on a 1/8–3/16 oz jig head and swim steadily for a compact baitfish imitation; most effective when bass are actively feeding on smaller baitfish near the surface or along grass edges; vary the retrieve speed to find the cadence that triggers strikes.

The Lead Masters Mini Tube Jig 1/32 oz is a hand-poured tube jig designed for finesse presentations targeting trout, crappie, bluegill, bass, perch, and panfish on light tackle. At 1/32 oz, it falls faster and casts farther than the 1/64 oz version, making it more versatile across a wider range of conditions while still maintaining the slow, natural tube action that triggers strikes from finicky fish. The hollow tube body produces a natural, tentacle-like flutter on the fall and retrieve. Because these jigs are hand-poured, colors may vary slightly between batches — a characteristic of hand-poured lures that often results in unique, one-of-a-kind color variations. Available in 35 colors. 3 per pack.
Key Features
- 1/32 oz — Versatile Light Weight — Heavier than the 1/64 oz version for better casting distance and a faster fall rate that covers more water column; still light enough for ultra-light and light spinning gear on 2–6 lb line; the 1/32 oz is the most versatile weight in the mini tube jig range — light enough for finesse presentations and heavy enough to cast without a bobber in most conditions.
- Hand-Poured — Unique Color Variations — All Lead Masters Mini Tube Jigs are hand-poured; colors may vary slightly between batches, which is a natural characteristic of hand-poured lures; hand-poured jigs often have unique color blends and translucency variations that differ from machine-produced jigs.
- Hollow Tube Body — Natural Flutter Action — The hollow tube body collapses and flares on the fall and retrieve, producing a natural, tentacle-like action that mimics small invertebrates, aquatic insects, and small baitfish; most effective on a slow, steady retrieve without twitching — let the tube’s natural action do the work.
- Water-Filled Bobber Compatible — Can be used with a water-filled casting bobber to achieve greater casting distance on ultra-light gear; the bobber’s weight provides the casting mass while the jig trails behind at the desired depth.
- 35 Colors — Solid, Bi-Color, Sparkle & Specialty — The largest color selection in the Lead Masters mini tube jig lineup, covering every water clarity, light condition, and target species preference.
- 3 Per Pack — Three jigs per pack; provides multiple jigs for rigging multiple rods or replacing lost jigs when fishing around structure.
Retrieval Tip
A slow, steady retrieve without twitching produces the best results with the Mini Tube Jig. The tube’s natural action is most effective when the bait is allowed to move on its own — twitching can disrupt the tube flutter and reduce strikes. Cast, let the jig sink to the desired depth, and retrieve slowly and steadily.
Color Selection Guide
- Clear Water — Natural & Translucent — Pearl, Smoke/Clear, Smoke/Sparkle, Bi-Smoke/Clear Sparkle, Bi-Smoke/Pearl, Pink/Clear, Clear/Gold Sparkle for clear water where a natural, translucent profile is preferred; smoke and clear finishes allow light to pass through the tube body for a lifelike appearance that triggers strikes from pressured fish.
- High Visibility — Stained Water & Low Light — Yellow, Yellow/White, Yellow/Chartreuse, Yellow/Green Sparkle, Yellow/Red Sparkle, Chartreuse/Silver Flake, Black/Chartreuse, Bi-Smoke/Chartreuse, Bi-Orange/Chartreuse, Black Red/Chartreuse Sparkle for stained water and low-light conditions where high-visibility colors are needed; chartreuse and yellow tones remain visible in off-color water.
- Attractor & High Contrast — Firecracker, Red/White, Pink/White, Pink/White Chartreuse, Bi-Red/Pearl, Bi-Smoke/Fire, Tequila Sunrise, Orange/Watermelon Scale for high-contrast attractor presentations that trigger reaction strikes; red, pink, and orange tones are effective for trout and crappie across a wide range of conditions.
- Natural Imitation — Grasshopper, Brown/Blue Sparkle, Bi-Green/Pumpkin, Bi-Green/Pearl, Green/White, Green/Yellow for natural baitfish and invertebrate imitations; grasshopper and pumpkin tones for trout in streams where terrestrial insects are present, green and brown tones for panfish around vegetation.
- Dark Water & Low Light Silhouette — Black, Black/Clear Sparkle, Smoke/Multi, Bi-Yellow/Pearl for dark water and low-light conditions where a visible silhouette is needed; black provides maximum contrast against the sky in low-light conditions.
Best For
- Trout Fishing — The 1/32 oz weight and tube action are highly effective for trout in streams, rivers, and stocked ponds; use on 2–4 lb monofilament or fluorocarbon with an ultralight spinning rod; Pearl, Firecracker, Red/White, and Chartreuse/Silver Flake for stocked trout, smoke and clear finishes for wild trout in clear water; Grasshopper for stream trout when terrestrial insects are present.
- Crappie & Panfish — Effective for crappie, bluegill, perch, and panfish around docks, brush piles, and submerged structure; the 1/32 oz weight casts farther than the 1/64 oz without a bobber, making it more practical for open water panfish presentations; bi-color finishes (Bi-Yellow/Pearl, Bi-Red/Pearl) are proven crappie colors.
- Bass on Light Tackle — Effective for bass on light spinning gear in clear water and pressured conditions where larger presentations are ignored; the tube action and small profile trigger strikes from finicky bass that won’t commit to larger jigs.
- Ice Fishing — The 1/32 oz weight and tube flutter are effective for ice fishing targeting crappie, bluegill, and perch through the ice; the slightly heavier weight compared to the 1/64 oz provides better jigging response in cold water conditions.
The Zoom Baby Brush Hog 4" is the mid-size version of the legendary Brush Hog lineup — a 4-inch multi-appendage creature bait with flapping appendages, curly tails, and subtle legs that create lively movement on the fall and with even the slightest rod twitch. The 4-inch profile is the sweet spot of the Brush Hog family: versatile enough for Texas rigs, Carolina rigs, flipping setups, and jig trailers across a wide range of conditions, pressures, and water clarities. Made from Zoom’s soft, salty plastic that bass hold on to longer. 12 per pack in 12 colors.
Key Features
- 4" Mid-Size Profile — Versatile Sweet Spot — The Baby Brush Hog’s 4-inch size sits between the compact Tiny Brush Hog (3") and the big-bass full-size Brush Hog (6"); the 4" profile is the most versatile size in the lineup — large enough to draw strikes from big bass but compact enough to work in finesse situations, clear water, and when bass are keying on smaller forage; effective across the widest range of conditions of any size in the Brush Hog family.
- Multi-Appendage Action — Flapping Arms, Curly Tails & Subtle Legs — The flapping appendages, curly tails, and subtle legs move independently on the fall and during slow retrieves, producing lifelike action that mimics a fleeing crawfish or large insect; the multi-appendage profile displaces water from multiple directions, making the bait detectable to bass through their lateral line in both clear and stained water.
- Salty Zoom Plastic — Natural Feel, Longer Hold — Made from Zoom’s soft, salt-impregnated plastic; the salt taste triggers a natural hold response that keeps bass on the bait longer, giving you more time to detect the bite and set the hook through cover.
- Versatile Rig Compatibility — Effective on Texas rigs, Carolina rigs, flipping rigs, and as a jig trailer on flipping and casting jigs; the 4" profile fits a wide range of hook sizes and jig styles; also effective on a shaky head and drop shot for finesse applications.
- 12 Colors — 12 Per Pack — The widest color selection in the Brush Hog lineup with 12 colors; twelve baits per pack.

Best For
- Texas Rig — All-Around Application — The primary application; rig on a 3/0–4/0 wide gap hook with a 3/16–1/2 oz bullet weight and fish through cover; the multi-appendage action on the fall triggers strikes from bass holding tight to structure.
- Flipping & Pitching — Pitch into heavy cover on a flipping rig; the 4" profile is large enough to draw big bass out of cover while compact enough to work in tighter cover than the full-size 6" Brush Hog.
- Carolina Rig — Open Water & Transitions — Effective on a Carolina rig for covering open water, points, and transition areas; the multi-appendage action on a long leader produces a natural, drifting presentation that triggers strikes from roaming bass.
- Jig Trailer — Thread on the back of a flipping or casting jig for a full-profile craw presentation with active appendage action.
The Zoom Tiny Brush Hog 3" packs the proven multi-appendage action of the full-size Brush Hog into a compact 3-inch profile built for finesse presentations, pressured fish, and clear-water conditions. Fluttering arms, curly tails, and subtle legs move naturally with the slightest current or rod tip movement — producing lifelike action on the fall and during slow retrieves that triggers strikes from bass that won’t commit to a larger bait. Made from Zoom’s soft, salty plastic that bass hold on to longer. 15 per pack.
Key Features
- Compact 3" Finesse Profile — Downsized Brush Hog Action — The Tiny Brush Hog delivers the same proven multi-appendage action as the full-size Brush Hog in a 3-inch profile sized for finesse presentations; the compact size is most effective when bass are pressured, in clear water, or keying on smaller forage and won’t commit to a larger creature bait; the 3" profile also fits smaller hook gaps for finesse jig heads and light wire hooks used in finesse applications.
- Multi-Appendage Action — Fluttering Arms, Curly Tails & Subtle Legs — The fluttering arms, curly tails, and subtle legs move independently with the slightest current or rod tip movement, producing lifelike action on the fall and during slow retrieves; the multi-appendage profile displaces water from multiple directions, making the bait detectable to bass through their lateral line even in clear water where visual detection is primary.
- Salty Zoom Plastic — Natural Feel, Longer Hold — Made from Zoom’s soft, salt-impregnated plastic; the salt taste triggers a natural hold response that keeps bass on the bait longer, giving you more time to detect the subtle bites that finesse presentations produce.
- Versatile Finesse Rig Compatibility — Effective on light Texas rigs, finesse Carolina rigs, shaky heads, Ned rigs, and drop shots; the compact 3" profile fits a wide range of finesse hook sizes and jig head weights; also effective as a small jig trailer on finesse jigs.
- 15 Per Pack — Fifteen baits per pack.

Best For
- Shaky Head & Ned Rig — Finesse Bottom Fishing — Thread the Tiny Brush Hog on a shaky head or Ned rig jig head and work slowly along the bottom; the multi-appendage action produces movement on the shake and on the fall that triggers strikes from pressured bass; most effective in clear water and post-frontal conditions when bass are finicky.
- Drop Shot — Effective on a drop shot for suspending the Tiny Brush Hog above the bottom in the strike zone; the appendages flutter naturally on the drop shot with minimal rod movement, producing action that triggers strikes from bass that are holding tight to bottom structure.
- Light Texas Rig — Finesse Heavy Cover — Rig on a light Texas rig (1/16–1/8 oz) for a slow-falling finesse presentation through light to moderate cover; the compact 3" profile punches through cover more easily than the full-size Brush Hog while still delivering the multi-appendage action.
- Pressured Lakes & Clear Water — The primary scenario where the Tiny Brush Hog outperforms the full-size version; when bass have seen every large creature bait in the lake, downsizing to the 3" Tiny Brush Hog with a finesse presentation triggers.
The Zoom Ultravibe Speed Craw is a 3.5-inch craw bait built around a high-vibration claw design that generates maximum water displacement and vibration on the retrieve — especially on a swim jig, where the distinct claw shape pumps and flutters to produce a lifelike crawfish swimming action. The “Ultravibe” name reflects the claw geometry: shaped to move more water and produce more vibration than a standard craw profile at the same retrieve speed. Versatile across multiple rig styles. 12 per pack.
Key Features
- High-Vibration Claw Design — Maximum Water Displacement — The Ultravibe Speed Craw’s claws are shaped to generate maximum vibration and water displacement on the retrieve; the claw geometry produces more movement per inch of retrieve than a standard craw profile, making the bait detectable to bass through their lateral line at greater distances; most effective on a swim jig or steady retrieve where the claws are continuously pumping and fluttering.
- Swim Jig Trailer — Primary Application — The Speed Craw’s claw action is most pronounced on a swim jig; the claws pump and flutter on a steady retrieve, producing a lifelike crawfish swimming action that complements the swim jig’s lateral movement; the vibration generated by the claws adds a tactile element to the presentation that bass detect through their lateral line in both clear and stained water.
- Versatile Rig Compatibility — Effective as a jig trailer (flipping and casting jigs), on a Texas rig, Carolina rig, and shaky head; the compact 3.5" profile fits a wide range of hook sizes and jig styles; the claw action remains effective on the fall and during slow retrieves on bottom-contact rigs.
- 3.5" Profile — 12 Per Pack — The 3.5-inch size is a versatile mid-size craw profile that matches a wide range of crawfish sizes; 12 baits per pack.
Color Selection Guide
| Color | Best Application |
|---|---|
| Watermelon Candy Red | Clear to lightly stained water, crawfish imitation with red flake trigger |
| Green Pumpkin | Clear to lightly stained water, natural crawfish imitation, all-conditions versatile |
| Pumpkin | Clear water, natural crawfish color, subtle presentation |
| Watermelon Seed | Clear water, natural baitfish/crawfish imitation, versatile all-conditions |
Best For
- Swim Jig Trailer — Thread the Speed Craw on the back of a swim jig and retrieve steadily along grass edges, laydowns, and dock lines; the claw vibration adds a tactile element to the swim jig presentation that draws bass from a distance.
- Jig Trailer — Flipping & Casting — Effective on the back of a flipping or casting jig; the claws rise into the defensive crawfish posture on the bottom and flutter on the fall, triggering strikes from bass holding tight to structure.
- Texas Rig & Carolina Rig — Effective on a Texas rig for fishing through heavy cover and on a Carolina rig for covering open water and transition areas; the claw action remains effective on the fall and during slow drags along the bottom.
- Shaky Head — The compact 3.5" profile pairs well with a shaky head for a finesse craw presentation; the claws flutter on the shake and produce vibration on the fall that triggers strikes from pressured bass.

Team Davies Tear Shot Tungsten Worm Weights are 99% tungsten and do not have a sleeve inside. There is a lot of talk about what is better, sleeve or no sleeve. We prefer no sleeve because the sleeve can cause abrasion on the ends but can also fall out. When it falls out, it's rougher in the inside than it would have been had it no sleeve at all. When it starts out with no sleeve, the inside is smooth and usually has a powder paint coating to deter any nicks or damage to your line. We've had more problems with sleeved weights than non sleeve and Team Davies agrees. We have never had a complaint for over 4 years and we think these are a great value for a great product.
Some anglers like the sleeve, others prefer it without. We haven't noticed any difference between the two but maybe on light line it would cause chaffing on the line.
