- Designed for the School-E-Rigs and Other Castable Umbrella Rigs
- Unique Head Design Produces Awesome Wobble Action
5 per pack
The Spro Rock Crawler 55 Crankbait was designed by B.A.S.S. Elite Series Angler Mike McClelland to have a wide wobbling hunting action. It's ability to bounce off cover like no other crankbaits triggers aggressive strikes.
Just hit the rocks and the RkCrawler 55 does the rest while rocking the school of fish. Most crankbait anglers know that deflection is the deal, and the new RkCrawler 55 takes advantage of a predator's built-in instinct and turns those natural instincts into secure hook-ups that show up at the weigh-in!
Sampo Welded Ring Ball Bearing Swivels are made with super-strong welded stainless steel rings for all types of heavy-duty fishing in fresh or salt water. Ideal no-twist protection for big game leader connections and downrigger trolling. Rings matched to swivel size.

When John Crews designed the Spro Little John MD 50 CrankbaitΒ he wanted a bait that would allow him cover shallow 7-9 ft water quickly and effectively. Crews also wanted a durable yet sensitive bait that could be cast long distances with great accuracy. The Spro Little John Crankbait does all this and more.
The Little John comes equipped with a computer chip board lip. This style of lip is extremely durable and sensitive. The silent tungsten weight transfer system provides the distance and casting accuracy for this small profile bait. The lip design of the Little John gives it a tight wobble but enough action to aid in cover deflection. The tight wobble of the Little John allows you to cover water quickly and effectively. As with all Spro baits the Little John is equipped with sticky sharpΒ GamakatsuΒ treble hooks.
Medium diver, 7-9ft.

Keep Your Fingers in the Fight
Line cuts are one of the most common β and most overlooked β injuries in saltwater fishing. Whether you're clearing a backlash, hand-lining a fish, or working braid all day, the friction adds up fast. Lead Masters Stretch Wrap Finger Tape gives you a quick, reliable layer of protection that wraps in seconds, sticks to itself without adhesive, and stays put through an entire session. No clips, no fasteners, no fuss β just wrap over your finger and back on itself and you're ready to fish.
Self-Adhering Protection That Stays Where You Put It
Unlike regular tape that loses its grip when wet or leaves sticky residue on your hands, stretch wrap finger tape bonds to itself and nothing else. It conforms to your finger, moves with you, and won't slip or bunch up mid-fight. When you're done, it peels off cleanly. Available in 7 colors so you can match your preference or keep a few colors on hand for different crew members.
Why Finger Protection Matters on the Water
Braid and fluorocarbon under tension can cut through skin faster than you'd expect β especially on long fights, when clearing tangles, or when hand-lining a fish to the boat. A single roll of stretch wrap is cheap insurance against cuts that can end your day or get infected in a saltwater environment. Keep a roll in your tackle bag and you'll always have it when you need it.
The Right Pick If...
- You fish with braid and deal with line cuts or abrasion on your fingers
- You want a quick, no-mess alternative to regular tape or finger cots
- You hand-line fish or clear tangles regularly
- You need something that stays on when wet and peels off cleanly when done
Best Fishing Techniques
- Braid fishing β spinning and conventional setups where line contacts fingers
- Hand-lining fish at the boat or clearing tangles under tension
- Kite fishing and outrigger work where line handling is frequent
- Any technique where repeated line contact causes finger abrasion
Best Conditions
- Saltwater offshore and inshore fishing
- Any wet or high-friction fishing environment
- Long sessions where cumulative line contact adds up
Best For
- Species: Any β especially useful when targeting hard-running fish that require extended line handling
- Techniques: Braid fishing, hand-lining, kite fishing, outrigger work, general line handling
- Use Cases: Finger protection from line cuts, abrasion prevention, quick wrap for sensitive or injured fingers
Key Features
- Self-adhering stretch wrap β sticks to itself, not your skin or gear
- Protects against line cuts and abrasion from braid and fluorocarbon
- Stays secure when wet β won't slip or bunch during a fight
- Peels off cleanly with no sticky residue
- Available in 7 colors: Blue, Red, Green, Yellow, Pink, Beige, Purple
- 1 roll per pack
- Comparable to Flexx-Rap / Flex-Rap finger tape

Tackle Express Tips
- Wrap before you need it: Don't wait until your finger is already cut β wrap up at the start of a session when you know you'll be handling braid or clearing lines frequently.
- Double wrap for heavy braid: For 50lb+ braid or when hand-lining large fish, a second layer over the first adds meaningful extra protection without bulk.
- Keep a roll in every bag: At $4 a roll, it's the cheapest insurance in your tackle bag. Toss one in your day bag, your offshore kit, and your kayak hatch so you're never without it.
FAQ
Does this tape leave residue on your fingers?
No β stretch wrap finger tape is self-adhering, meaning it only sticks to itself. It peels off cleanly without leaving adhesive residue on your skin.
Will it stay on when my hands are wet?
Yes. The self-adhering stretch wrap bonds to itself rather than relying on adhesive, so it holds up well in wet conditions. It won't slip or unravel during a fight.
How is this different from regular athletic tape?
Regular athletic tape uses adhesive that can lose grip when wet and leaves residue on your skin. Stretch wrap tape is cohesive β it bonds to itself only, stays secure when wet, and removes cleanly. It's also more flexible and conforms better to finger movement during fishing.

The Lead Masters Swimbait Head in Black is a purpose-built jig head for rigging paddle tail swimbaits, shad-style soft plastics, and large swimbait trailers across freshwater and saltwater applications. The black head color provides a low-visibility profile that doesnβt distract from the swimbait trailer β keeping the focus on the baitβs action and color rather than the jig head. Hook size scales with weight across 7 sizes from 1/4 oz to 2 oz, ensuring proper hook gap geometry for the swimbait size at each weight. 2 per pack.
Key Features
- Black Head β Low-Visibility Profile β The black head color provides a low-visibility, neutral profile that doesnβt compete with the swimbait trailerβs color and action; most effective in clear water where fish can inspect the jig head closely, and in situations where a natural, understated head color is preferred over a painted or colored head.
- Hook Size Matched to Weight β Hook size scales with jig weight across the full range: 2/0 for the 1/4 oz, 3/0 for the 3/8 and 1/2 oz, 4/0 for the 3/4 and 1 oz, and 6/0 for the 1.5 and 2 oz; matching hook size to swimbait size ensures the hook point exits at the correct position in the bait for a reliable hookset without the hook being too small or too large for the trailer.
- Wide Weight Range β 1/4 oz to 2 oz β Seven weight options from 1/4 oz to 2 oz cover a wide range of depth, current, and swimbait size requirements; lighter weights (1/4β3/8 oz) for shallow water and finesse swimbait presentations, mid weights (1/2β3/4 oz) for versatile inshore and freshwater applications, and heavier weights (1β2 oz) for deeper water, stronger current, and larger swimbaits.
- Freshwater & Saltwater β Effective across both freshwater and saltwater applications; the full weight range covers freshwater bass swimbait fishing through inshore and surf swimbait presentations for Calico Bass, Halibut, and other saltwater species.
- 2 Per Pack β Two jig heads per pack; provides a backup when fishing structure where snags and losses are common.
Size Selection Guide
| Weight | Hook Size | Best Application |
|---|---|---|
| 1/4 oz | 2/0 | Shallow water, finesse swimbaits, light current, small paddle tails |
| 3/8 oz | 3/0 | Versatile shallow to mid-depth, moderate current |
| 1/2 oz | 3/0 | Mid-depth inshore and freshwater, moderate current |
| 3/4 oz | 4/0 | Deeper water, stronger current, larger swimbaits |
| 1 oz | 4/0 | Deep inshore, surf zone, large paddle tails |
| 1.5 oz | 6/0 | Heavy surf, deep nearshore, large swimbait trailers |
| 2 oz | 6/0 | Maximum depth and current, offshore and deep nearshore |
Best For
- Paddle Tail & Shad-Style Swimbaits β The primary application; rig a paddle tail swimbait or shad-style soft plastic on the swimbait head and retrieve steadily to activate the trailerβs tail kick; the black head provides a neutral base that lets the swimbaitβs color and action do the work without a distracting painted head color.
- Surf Fishing β Heavier weights (1β2 oz) for surf zone presentations where casting distance and sink rate are critical; the black head is effective in the surf where a low-visibility head color is preferred over bright painted heads in clear surf conditions.
- Calico Bass & Inshore Saltwater β Effective for Calico Bass, Halibut, and inshore species with paddle tail swimbaits in the 3β6" range; mid weights (1/2β3/4 oz) for shallow inshore structure, heavier weights (1β2 oz) for deeper water and stronger current.
- Freshwater Bass Swimbait Fishing β Lighter weights (1/4β3/8 oz) for freshwater bass swimbait fishing with small to mid-size paddle tails; the black head is a proven swimbait head color for clear water bass fishing where a natural, low-visibility head is preferred.

When bass demand a bigger meal or you need to slow your rate of fall, thread the Zoom Big Salty Chunk on the back of your jig and hold on. At 3.25 inches, itβs Zoomβs largest chunk β the βBig Daddyβ β and a time-tested, tournament-proven producer of big bass from coast to coast. The bulk profile adds mass to your jig presentation and slows the rate of fall for a more deliberate, enticing drop through the strike zone. Salt-impregnated so bass hold on longer, giving you more time to set the hook.
Key Features
- Salt-Impregnated β Bass Hold On Longer β The Zoom Big Salty Chunk is impregnated with salt throughout the plastic; when a bass bites, the salt taste triggers a natural hold response that keeps the fish on the bait longer than an unsalted trailer; the extended hold time gives you more time to detect the bite and set the hook, particularly on finesse presentations where bites can be subtle.
- Bulk Profile β Slows Rate of Fall β The 3.25" chunk profile adds significant bulk and water resistance to your jig, slowing the rate of fall through the water column; a slower fall keeps the jig in the strike zone longer and gives bass more time to commit to the bait; most effective when bass are holding tight to structure and a fast-falling jig is moving through the strike zone too quickly to draw a strike.
- Zoomβs Largest Chunk β Tournament-Proven β The Big Salty Chunk is Zoomβs largest chunk trailer and has produced big bass and winning tournament strings across the country; the larger profile appeals to big bass that are keying on larger prey and are less likely to commit to a smaller trailer.
- Versatile Jig Trailer β Designed as a jig trailer but also effective as a standalone soft plastic on a Texas rig, Carolina rig, or punching rig; the chunk profile and claw appendages produce action on the fall and during slow retrieves through heavy cover.
Color Selection Guide
| Color | Best Application |
|---|---|
| Green Pumpkin | Clear to lightly stained water, natural crawfish imitation, all-conditions versatile |
| Black and Blue | Stained to dark water, high-contrast crawfish imitation, low-light conditions |
| Flippinβ Blue | Stained water, flipping & pitching heavy cover, crawfish imitation |
Best For
- Jig Trailer β Slowing the Fall β The primary application; thread the Big Salty Chunk on the back of a football jig, flipping jig, or swim jig to add bulk and slow the rate of fall; most effective when bass are holding tight to structure and a slower, more deliberate fall is needed to draw strikes.
- Flipping & Pitching Heavy Cover β The bulk profile and salt impregnation make the Big Salty Chunk effective for flipping and pitching heavy cover (matted vegetation, laydowns, dock pilings) where bass are holding tight and a slow, deliberate fall through the cover is needed to trigger a strike.
- Tournament Fishing β Big Bass Appeal β The larger 3.25" profile appeals to big bass that are keying on larger prey; when tournament pressure has fish conditioned to smaller presentations, upsizing to the Big Salty Chunk can trigger strikes from the larger fish that are ignoring smaller trailers.
Β
On a fixed jig head, the hook and the lead are one rigid piece. The bait goes where the weight goes, at the speed you're reeling, and on a slow retrieve it looks like exactly what it is β a piece of plastic being pulled through the water.
Short version: the Neck Breaker separates them. The hook hangs off the head on its own pivot, so the bait rocks, glides, and settles on its own while the head does the sinking. Two heads per pack. Six weights, 1/8 oz through 1 oz.
Why a Swing Head
That independence shows up in the two situations where fish get picky: on the drop, and on a dead-slow retrieve along the bottom. A fixed head falls nose-down in a straight line. A swing head lets the bait glide off to the side and settle, which is what a dying baitfish actually does.
The pivot also changes the hook angle. Instead of tracking nose-down locked to the lead, the hook rides up off the head β a better position for a fish that eats from behind and below.
Where It Earns Its Keep
- Slow-rolling swimbaits through kelp stringers and over boiler rock for calico bass.
- Bottom work inside harbors and bays for spotted bay bass, where the pause matters more than the retrieve.
- Dragging sand flats for halibut.
- Umbrella rig arms β see below. This is the standard head for an A-rig.
The Umbrella Rig Setup
Five baits tracking together at identical speed is the hardest presentation to make look alive. Every bait moving in lockstep reads as a lure, not a school. Swing heads give each bait its own motion inside that group, which is why they're the default choice on an A-rig.
The weighting rule is keel effect: your two heaviest heads go on the bottom two arms, lighter heads on the top three. Even weight across all five gives the rig nothing holding its orientation, so it rolls, spins, and twists your line.
How many packs a five-arm rig takes
| Setup | Bottom two arms | Top three arms | Packs to buy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard calico / 5" baits | 1/2 oz Γ 2 | 1/4 oz Γ 3 | 1 pack 1/2 oz 2 packs 1/4 oz |
| Harbor / bay, 3" baits | 1/2 oz Γ 2 | 1/4 oz Γ 3 | 1 pack 1/2 oz 2 packs 1/4 oz |
| Bigger presentation / 7" baits | 3/4 oz Γ 2 | 1/2 oz Γ 3 | 1 pack 3/4 oz 2 packs 1/2 oz |
| Deep water or current | 1 oz Γ 2 | 1/2 oz Γ 3 | 1 pack 1 oz 2 packs 1/2 oz |
Three packs covers a full rig every time β one pack of the heavy weight, two of the light. You'll finish with one spare light head, which is the one you'll want when a fish takes a head off in the rocks.
Our crew wrote a photo-by-photo guide covering the arm bend, keel weighting, bait sizing by location, and how to keep five arms of hooks out of every other rod in the rack.
Read the full umbrella rig setup guide βWeight Selection
| Weight | Use it for |
|---|---|
| 1/8 oz | Skinny water and shallow flats with no current β the slowest fall in the lineup. |
| 1/4 oz | Harbor and bay bottom work. Also the top three arms of a standard umbrella rig. |
| 3/8 oz | Shallow structure once there's wind or a little current on it. |
| 1/2 oz | The general-purpose calico weight. Bottom two arms of a standard umbrella rig. |
| 3/4 oz | Deeper structure, moving water, and bigger baits. |
| 1 oz | Deep water and heavy current. Bottom two arms on a deep-water A-rig. |
Pro Tips from the Tackle Express Crew
- Let it fall on a slack line. The swing head's advantage is the glide, and a tight line takes it away. Most bites on this head come on the drop.
- Slow down further than feels productive. A fixed head needs speed to look right. This one doesn't, and speed is what kills the independent action you paid for.
- Buy in pairs of weights, not pairs of colors. When a head goes in the rocks you want the same weight back on, not the same color. Head color matters far less than bait color.
- Match the head to the bait's body, not to the fish. A head too heavy for the plastic kills the tail action no matter what you're targeting.
Common Mistakes
- Fishing it like a fixed head. Steady fast retrieve, tight line on the fall β that's a regular jig head presentation and the swing does nothing for you.
- Buying five heads for a five-arm rig. They come two to a pack. Five arms takes three packs, not two and a half.
- Even weights across an umbrella rig. The number one cause of a rig that helicopters and corkscrews your line.
- Going too heavy for the depth. On the drop, a head that outruns the bait pulls the plastic straight down and eliminates the glide.

What's Included
Two swing heads per pack, in the weight and color selected. A five-arm umbrella rig takes three packs β one of the heavy weight for the bottom two arms, two of the light weight for the top three. Swimbaits and the rig itself are sold separately.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many heads come in a pack?
Two.
How many packs do I need for a five-arm umbrella rig?
Three. One pack of the heavier weight for the bottom two arms, two packs of the lighter weight for the top three. You'll have one spare light head left over.
What's the difference between a swing head and a regular jig head?
On a swing head the hook pivots independently of the weight. The bait moves on its own instead of being locked to the lead, which matters most on the drop and on a slow retrieve.
What weight should I use for calico bass?
1/2 oz covers most of it. Drop to 1/4 oz inside harbors and calm water; go 3/4 or 1 oz for deeper structure or current.
What weights do I need for an umbrella rig?
Heavier on the bottom two arms, lighter on the top three. With 5" baits, 1/2 oz on the bottom pair and 1/4 oz on the other three. For deep water or current, 1 oz on the bottom and 1/2 oz on top.
Can I use it in freshwater?
Yes. It's built for saltwater but the same slow-roll and drop-and-pause presentations work on largemouth and smallmouth.
What swimbaits fit it?
Any soft paddle-tail or boot-tail swimbait. Match the head weight to the bait's body β a head too heavy for the plastic kills the tail action.
Does the head color matter?
Less than bait color, but it matters at close range in clear water. Raw and White disappear, Red and Hot Pink give the bait a visible strike point, and Camo and Cosmos are the low-visibility picks over structure.
Gear That Goes With It

TheΒ Nomad TackleΒ VERTREX MAXΒ soft vibe is all about maximum vibration and maximum depth. It has a lifelike action that sinks level and straight, getting down to the fish faster. The deep body profile combined with finely tuned internal weights delivers a soft vibration bait with a huge vibration at super slow speed and even more vibration at higher speeds. The amount of vibration you can achieve at slow speeds just gently hopping this lure on or near the bottom is what sets theΒ Vertrex MaxΒ apart from all other soft vibration baits. The deeper body with a wide belly design ensures that even at slow speeds theΒ Vertrex MaxΒ is vibrating and attracting attention. The Vertrex features a full wire internal construction for extra strength and is fitted with the ultimate BKK hooks so you can fish it straight out of the box.
Vertrex Max Soft VibeΒ is suited to be fished at depths from 40ft-200ft of water. TheΒ Vertrex MaxΒ can be fished in a similar way to a slow pitch jig. The best technique is to drop them to the bottom and then use 3-10 slow lifts with a short pause off the bottom to get it vibrating on the lift and then as it glides back down on the drop it will often get hit. They can be worked fast or slow, but the Vertrex Max is has huge vibration at slow speeds making it highly effective for this technique.
