This Ima Skimmer 110 Topwater Lure is unique among hard plastic topwater stickbaits in that only the Ima Skimmer has the slender body shape of a 5" soft plastic stickbait. This slim profile has proven to be one of the most appealing bass lure shapes ever. There's a whole lot to be said simply for this slender profile and silhouette, and the ima Skimmer is really the only topwater hardbait that has it.

A large part of the Skimmer's action is caused on the ending movement of each zig or zag as the tail-weighted back end of the ima Skimmer stirs the water wildly causing a large boil. So every time that the Skimmer zigs or zags left or right, the final movement of the weighted tail stirs the surface into a large boil, and the Skimmer slips out barely ahead of the boil, just like a desperate baitfish narrowly escaping a bass's lunge.

The Skimmer's action then becomes a non-stop series of ever-widening boils emanating behind it. It's like having a school of surface-feeding bass on the scene, all boiling the surface behind the ima Skimmer's tail. If there's ever anything that gets a non-committal bass to bite, it is other bass feeding in front of it - and that's the competitive feeding cue that the Skimmer's tail-stirring movement sends out to all bass within range of sensing the surface-feeding boils trailing out behind the Skimmer.

The Ima Baby Stik 105 Walking Bait is perfect for those times when fish are chasing smaller bait or there is an increased amount of fishing pressure. Featuring a rear weighted design that allows it to cast like a bullet, the Baby Stik is perfectly balanced  for an effortless walk the bait back and forth to resemble an injured or feeding baitfish. My favorite is to mix it ALL up on a single retrieve, going "from twitching to waking, to reeling it down to three feet to burning it." It's not just a jack-of-all-trades – it's a master of each one, too.

This lure is truly BASSMASTER Elite Angler's Bill Lowen's baby, a tool he's dreamed about for decades finally come to life. After countless back and forth conversations with IMA's engineers in Japan and mulitple refinements and prototypes, he's convinced that no other square bill can match his Square Bill. It has a stubby, rounded body that produces an earth-shaking wobble, bold eyes, a lexan lip and two sticky-sharp #6 Owner hooks that'll nab even the short strikers, although most bass absolutely choke this bait down.

This bait fits the "river rat," ultra-shallow fishing style. It runs a bit shallower than some other crankbaits of this genre, diving perhaps three feet on 12 lb. line and two feet on 15 lb. test. If you want to burn it over grass or in the shallowest water possible, upsize to 20 mono and it'll still maintain its hunting action. Rod lengths from 6` 9″ to 7′ are recommended; coupled with a 6.3:1 or 6.4:1 gear ratio reel. That allows anglers to slow it down and maintain power when dealing with a big fish, but they can still burn the bait when a faster retrieve is required.
