Choose your size and setup

Match the hook to the bait's thickness and the amount of plastic you will put on the hook. Size 2 is the smallest option here; 3/0 is the largest. Keep enough open gap for the point to work instead of filling the bend with plastic.

Connect your main line or upper leader to the swivel above the hook. Use the lower Easy-Change connection for the weight leader, following the package instructions. Choose leader length for the bait height you want, then test the assembled rig at the water's edge. Check both connections before making a full cast.

1. Rig the bait straight. A twisted or crooked bait can spin during the retrieve. Correct its position rather than relying only on the swivel to manage rotation.

The narrow gap allows the worm to act naturally on the bottom.  If you were to use an EWG hook it would cause the worm to sit sideways due to the belly of the hook not sitting flat on the bottom.  As always, these babies are ultra sharp and strong.

Choose your hook size

Within this range, #14 is the smallest and #6 is the largest. Start by comparing the hook with the egg or amount of bait you plan to use. Smaller hooks suit a more compact offering; moving toward #8 or #6 gives more room for a larger bait portion. Avoid covering the entire gap with bait.
