Freshwater Bass Fishing Tackle

Spro Stainless Steel Split Rings give you a tie point that won't bend out or rust on you mid-fight. Made from premium stainless steel, they hold their shape under hard, sustained pressure and keep hooks, swivels, and lures connected exactly where you put them.

Why Cheap Split Rings Fail

Soft, low-grade rings open up under a hard run or a big fish's headshake, and once a ring spreads even slightly, your hook or lure can slip free at the worst possible moment. These rings are built from tougher stainless steel specifically so they resist bending out under load instead of flexing permanently.

Built for Fresh and Salt Water

Stainless steel construction resists the rust and pitting that eventually weakens plated rings, especially in saltwater use. That means the ring holding your hook on today still holds the same strength months from now, not just out of the pack.

The Right Pick If...

You want a dependable, confidence-inspiring connection for swapping hooks, attaching lures to swivels, or upgrading the stock hardware on a new bait. The size range covers everything from light trout presentations up through stronger freshwater and saltwater applications.

Best Techniques and Conditions

Use these anywhere a secure, low-stretch metal connection matters: rigging trebles or single hooks on hard baits, attaching lures to leaders via a swivel, and upgrading stock rings on lures that see serious drag pressure. Smaller sizes suit trout and light freshwater work, while the larger sizes hold up to harder-fighting freshwater and saltwater species.

Best For

• Replacing weak stock split rings on hard baits and lures
• Attaching hooks, lures, and swivels securely for fresh and saltwater fishing
• Trout and light freshwater rigs with the smaller sizes
• Stronger freshwater and saltwater applications with the larger, higher-rated sizes

Key Features

• Premium stainless steel resists bending out under load
• Corrosion-resistant for long-term fresh and saltwater use
• Eight sizes covering 8 lb to 50 lb rated strength
• Dependable tie point for hooks, lures, and swivels

Models & Specs

Tackle Express Tips

• Match ring size to leader and hook strength, an undersized ring becomes the weak link even on a well-tied rig.
• Use a dedicated pair of split ring pliers to open these cleanly without bending them out during installation.
• Check rings for wear after landing big fish, a ring that's taken a hard hit is worth replacing even if it still looks round.

FAQ

What size should I use for bass fishing?
Sizes 2 through 4 cover most freshwater bass applications depending on the hook and lure weight.

Are these suitable for saltwater?
Yes, the stainless steel construction resists corrosion in saltwater, and the larger sizes carry enough rated strength for stronger saltwater species.

How do I know when a ring needs replacing?
If a ring looks even slightly oval or won't close back up fully after opening, replace it. A bent ring loses much of its rated strength.

The Deps Tiny Bullshooter 100 Bluegill is a compact, precision-engineered swimbait that delivers all the fish-catching features of its larger predecessor in a smaller package perfectly sized to match baby bluegill and small panfish. Designed for targeting wary bass in pressured waters, this 100mm swimbait excels around weeds, docks, and other areas where small bluegill live.

The Tiny Bullshooter's effectiveness comes from the realistic water displacement created by its jointed body design. It produces a fish-drawing action even with a straight retrieve, but with the right rod work, it achieves a weaving, roaming movement and can execute dramatic 180-degree turns that trigger explosive reaction strikes from following bass.

Engineered with innovative pectoral fins made of durable PVC material that stick to the body during the retrieve, then move and hover like a live bluegill when stopped. The uniquely shaped belly fin acts like a horizontal tail, helping to prevent snags while stabilizing the bait and enhancing its natural action. The slow-sinking design allows it to hover in the strike zone, making it deadly effective for finesse presentations.

Key Features:

• Compact Bluegill Profile: 100mm size perfectly matches baby bluegill and small panfish
• Jointed Body Design: Creates realistic water displacement and natural swimming action
• PVC Pectoral Fins: Stick to body during retrieve, then move and hover like live bluegill when stopped
• Horizontal Belly Fin: Prevents snags, stabilizes the bait, and enhances action
• 180-Degree Turning Ability: Dramatic turns trigger reaction strikes from following fish
• Slow-Sinking Action: Hovers in the strike zone for extended presentations
• Silent Operation: No rattles for stealthy presentation in pressured waters
• Premium Hooks: Size #5 ultra-sharp hooks with smooth coating and tin finish for better camouflage

Specifications:

• Weight: 1 oz
• Type: Slow-sinking, silent jointed swimbait
• Hook Size: #5 with tin finish
• Target Species: Largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, spotted bass

Retrieve Techniques:

• Straight Retrieve: Produces solid vibration from flat-sided body design
• Stop-and-Go: Creates swimming and wandering action away from cover
• 180-Degree Turn: Unique feeding action triggers bites from followers
• Slow Roll: Methodical retrieve along bottom structure
• Hover Presentation: Pause to let pectoral fins move like live bluegill

Pro Tips:

• Add a feathered hook to fool pressured bass and increase attraction, especially in current
• Fish around weeds, docks, and shallow cover where baby bluegill live
• Use stop-and-go retrieve to maximize the hovering pectoral fin action
• Practice the 180-degree turn technique to trigger reaction strikes

Ideal Applications:

Storage Warning:

Store your lures in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and high temperatures. Avoid storing in hot vehicles or tackle boxes during warm months, as high temperatures can cause deformation or cracking due to air expansion. The Baitsanity Antidote 7 Glide Baits appeared on the swimbait scene just a few years ago with their Explorer Series swimbaits, starting with their Trout and Carp Explorers. These custom baits quickly found a home in the hands of big bait anglers looking for a full sized glide bait option that wasn’t as expensive as JDM imports like the Deps Slide Swimmer or Roman Made Negotiator.

That swimbait is the Baitsanity Antidote, a Glide Bait that is crafted with an ABS Resin body for increased durability. The Antidote Glide Swimbait has a highly detailed air brushed paint job along with a single joint construction, with allows the Antidote Glide to swim Side-To-Side with a seductive “S” action that trophy sized bass can’t resist.

We've fished this bait several times and we're very impressed with the versatility.  On a slow wind, the bait will stay just under the water's surface creating a wake behind the bait.  We've found that this in often times what creates a strike.  A slow steady retrieve without popping the rod has been the most productive.

The summer before the weeds grow too thick, the bait should be incredible.  Due to it's ability to stay in the first 6 inches of the water column, fishing this over grass or stickups makes this bait very unique.

Brass N' Glass is one of the deadliest worm weight systems ever.  The impact of the brass sinker against the color-coordinated glass bead produces the sound and vibration of scurrying crawfish, a presentation that even the most finicky bass cannot resist.

Features:

• The River2Sea Whopper Plopper 75 is a smaller profile version of the original.
• Measures just under 3 inches, weighs just over 1/2 ounce.
• Propeller-like tail rotates and creates tons of surface commotion.
• Creates alluring rumbles at a variety of retrieve speeds.
• Pre-rigged with two size 4 premium black nickel trebles.

The Whopper Plopper 75 from River2Sea is a downsized iteration of Larry Dahlberg's renowned topwater lures. At just under 3 inches and slightly over 1/2 ounce, this little guy still has all the captivating surface action of the original Whopper Plopper.

With its propeller-like tail that spins, the River2Sea Whopper Plopper 75 creates unique rumbling and multi-octave splashing noises that set it apart from other topwater lures. This tail is also extremely durable, able to withstand the rough treatment of rocks, wood, and big freshwater fish.

While the Whopper Plopper 75 is the smallest Whopper Plopper in terms of length, it has a deeper, wider belly that creates more of a bluegill profile than the other sizes. All in all, the Whopper Plopper 75 is a great choice for largemouth, smallmouth, and spotted bass when the topwater bite is strong, but fish are pressured and used to a smaller forage base.

Each Whopper Plopper 75 comes pre-rigged with two size 4 premium black nickel trebles and is available in 10 colors to match any fishing condition. Grab one today and a whopping catch is expected to arrive in no time!

IMA Skimmer Grande Topwater Lure delivers an bigger version than the original that is targeted at attracting the hunting predators in the lake. Designed with a rear weight, the IMA Skimmer Grande provides a hard side to side attraction that differentiates it from all other topwater walking baits.

Built with a thinned-down shape, the IMA Skimmer Grande sits with its nose poking out of the water. When worked with quick jerks and the rod tip pointed down, the IMA Skimmer Grande stirs the water and creates a large boil behind the bait. This imitates the erratic nature of an injured baitfish.

The Keitech Easy Shiner 5" is the largest size in the Easy Shiner lineup, built for matching bigger forage and targeting larger bass. It features a slim profile and exceptional realism, with a super-soft composition that allows the boot tail to deliver an incredible kicking action on the retrieve. Key Features

• 5 per pack
• Boot tail design — strong kicking action at any retrieve speed
• Slim profile — works effectively around vegetation
• Squid scent infused
• Recommended techniques: darter head, swim jig trailer
• 6 colors available — Pro Blue Red Pearl, Sight Flash, Bluegill Flash, Sexy Shad, Electric Shad, Clear Lake Hitch

The Reaction Innovations Little Dipper 3.5" is a compact paddle tail swimbait built around a thumping tail action that produces a tight, rhythmic thump on the retrieve — effective as a standalone swimbait on a jig head or weighted hook, and equally effective as a trailer on a swim jig, chatterbait, or umbrella rig. The 3.5" profile matches smaller baitfish and is ideal for finesse and pressured conditions where a larger swimbait profile gets ignored. 9 per pack in 6 colors.

Key Features

• Thumping Paddle Tail — Tight Rhythmic Action — The paddle tail produces a tight, thumping action on the retrieve that creates vibration and water displacement; the tail thumps rhythmically at a wide range of retrieve speeds, from a slow roll near the bottom to a faster mid-water retrieve; the tight thump is most effective for triggering reaction strikes from bass that are actively feeding on baitfish.
• 3.5" Compact Profile — Finesse & Pressured Conditions — The 3.5" size matches smaller shad, shiners, and baitfish profiles and is most effective when bass are keying on smaller forage or when a larger swimbait profile is getting ignored; compact enough for light jig heads (1/8–3/16 oz) and finesse swim jig applications.
• Versatile Trailer & Standalone Applications — Effective as a standalone swimbait on a jig head or weighted hook, and as a trailer on a swim jig, chatterbait, or umbrella rig; the paddle tail adds action to any moving bait application.
• 9 Per Pack — 6 Colors — Nine baits per pack across 6 colors spanning shad, bream, and natural baitfish patterns.

Color Selection Guide

Best For

• Swim Jig Trailer — Primary Application — Thread the Little Dipper on the back of a swim jig for a full-profile baitfish presentation; the paddle tail adds a thumping action to the swim jig on the retrieve that complements the jig’s skirt movement; most effective on a steady retrieve through grass edges, laydowns, and open water.
• Chatterbait Trailer — Thread on the back of a chatterbait for a swimbait trailer that adds profile and paddle tail action to the blade’s vibration; the combination of the chatterbait’s blade thump and the Little Dipper’s paddle tail creates a highly effective baitfish presentation for reaction strikes.
• Umbrella Rig — Use as one of the trailer baits on an umbrella rig for a multi-bait schooling baitfish presentation; the 3.5" size is ideal for umbrella rig applications where a compact profile is needed.
• Standalone Swimbait — Jig Head — Thread on a 1/8–3/16 oz jig head and swim steadily for a compact baitfish imitation; most effective when bass are actively feeding on smaller baitfish near the surface or along grass edges; vary the retrieve speed to find the cadence that triggers strikes.

The Yamamoto 5" Pro Senko is a soft plastic finesse worm built for shaky-head presentations. Its slender body, tapered tail, and redesigned head give anglers a Senko-family option for working a jig along the bottom. Each pack contains 10 baits in your selected color.

Why choose the Pro Senko?

• A head designed for rigging: The reshaped head accommodates shaky jigs and screw-in bullet sinkers.
• Slender profile with a tapered tail: Designed for a shaking presentation when you want subtle worm movement.
• Finesse application: A practical choice for slowly working bottom structure for bass with a jighead matched to your conditions.

Specifications

Choose your color and setup

For a starting color, consider Watermelon with Black Flake in clear water or Green Pumpkin with Black Flake when you want a darker, natural profile. The Watermelon Black and Red Flake and Green Pumpkin Large Green and Purple Flake options add contrasting flecks. Treat color as an adjustment to local forage and visibility, rather than a guarantee of more bites.

Choose a shaky head that fits the worm's head and leaves enough hook gap for the plastic to clear on the hookset. Use the lightest head you can comfortably keep in contact with the bottom; depth, wind, current, and line diameter all affect that choice. For the familiar original stickbait profile, compare the Yamamoto 5" Senko Worm.

3 Tackle Express Tips

1. Rig it straight before you cast. Line up the hook exit point against the worm before threading it. A bunched or crooked body can change how the bait moves and make it harder to fish cleanly.
2. Shake in place, then pause. Once your jig reaches bottom, try small rod-tip movements followed by a pause. If each movement pulls the bait several feet, reduce your rod motion to work a smaller area.
3. Check the head after a bite. If the plastic splits or slides down the keeper, re-rig or replace it. A secure head helps keep the worm aligned through the next presentation.

Frequently asked questions

How is the Pro Senko different from the original Senko?

The Pro Senko uses a thinner construction, tapered tail, and redesigned head for shaky-worm presentations. Choose it when rigging and working a shaky head is your main goal.

How many worms come in a pack?

This 5-inch Pro Senko comes with 10 soft baits in the selected color.

Which jighead weight should I use?

There is no single weight for every situation. Start light enough to present the worm slowly, then increase weight if wind, depth, or current prevents you from maintaining bottom contact.

Does the package include hooks or sinkers?

No. Add a suitable hook or shaky head and any weight your rig requires. Match the hook and keeper to the bait rather than choosing by hook-size label alone.

Why Buy the Yamamoto Shad Shape Swimmer?

The Yamamoto Shad Shape Swimmer is a finesse swimbait built for anglers who demand lifelike action at every retrieve speed. Its slim, ribbed body and dynamic paddle tail produce an ultra-natural swimming motion that triggers strikes from even the wariest bass — whether you're swimming it on a swimbait head, hovering it on a drop shot, or working it on a hover rig. Available in 3.2", 3.7", and 4.2" sizes across 17 proven colors. 8 per pack.

Main Use & Benefit

A slim-profile paddle tail finesse swimbait designed for natural swimming action on swimbait heads, drop shots, and hover rigs — effective for largemouth, smallmouth, and spotted bass in clear to lightly stained water across a wide range of depths and presentations.

Problem It Solves

Bulky swimbaits and standard soft plastics don't produce the subtle, lifelike swimming action that triggers finicky bass in clear water and pressured fisheries. The Shad Shape Swimmer's slim ribbed body and paddle tail create a natural baitfish action at any retrieve speed — slow enough to hover in place on a drop shot, fast enough to swim convincingly on a swimbait head.

Advantages

• ✅ Slim ribbed body + dynamic paddle tail — ultra-natural swimming action at any speed
• ✅ Three sizes (3.2", 3.7", 4.2") to match the hatch at any depth or forage size
• ✅ 17 color options — natural forage shades to high-vis reaction colors
• ✅ Versatile — swimbait head, drop shot, hover rig, underspin, and FFS presentations
• ✅ Yamamoto premium soft plastic formula — lifelike action, durable material
• ✅ 8 per pack — excellent value
• ⚠️ Finesse swimbait — not designed for power fishing or heavy cover applications

When to Choose It

Reach for the Shad Shape Swimmer when bass are keying on baitfish in open water, when finesse presentations outperform reaction baits, or when you need a swimbait that produces natural action at slow retrieve speeds. It's equally effective on forward-facing sonar, traditional drop shot, and hover rig setups in clear to lightly stained water.

Best Fishing Techniques

• Swimbait Head — thread onto a 1/8–3/8 oz swimbait head and swim at a slow, steady retrieve; the paddle tail kicks naturally at any speed
• Drop Shot — nose-hook on a #1 or #2 hook, 12–24" above the weight; swim or shake for a horizontal baitfish presentation on FFS or traditional setups
• Hover Rig / Neko Rig — nail weight in the nose for a head-down hover presentation; the paddle tail flutters naturally on the pause
• Underspin — thread onto a light underspin for added flash and vibration through open water and over structure
• Wacky Rig — hook through the body for a fluttering fall around docks and laydowns

Best Conditions

• Clear to lightly stained water where natural action is most visible
• Open water and mid-depth structure (10–30ft) on swimbait heads and drop shots
• Forward-facing sonar presentations targeting suspended and structure-oriented fish
• Post-frontal and slow-bite conditions when finesse is the only answer
• Spring and fall when bass are actively chasing baitfish schools

Best For

• Slim ribbed body — natural baitfish profile with built-in action at any retrieve speed
• Dynamic paddle tail — produces ultra-natural swimming motion that triggers strikes
• Three sizes: 3.2", 3.7", 4.2" — match the hatch at any depth or forage size
• 17 color options — natural forage shades to high-vis reaction colors
• Yamamoto premium soft plastic formula — lifelike action, durable, natural feel
• 8 per pack

Tackle Express Tips

1. Size to the forage — Start with the 3.2" in clear water and when bass are keying on small shad. Move to the 3.7" as your all-around size, and use the 4.2" when bass are actively feeding on larger baitfish or you need more profile visibility on FFS.
2. Match the water clarity — Natural Shad, Sexy Shad, and Tennessee Shad are your best natural forage matches in clear water. Switch to Electric Shad, Sight Flash, or Stealth Chart Purple in stained water or low light for a reaction color.
3. Slow down on the swimbait head — The Shad Shape Swimmer's paddle tail produces its best action at a slow, steady retrieve. Resist the urge to speed up — a slow, deliberate swim just above the bottom or through the strike zone is where most bites happen.

FAQ

Q: What's the difference between the 3.2", 3.7", and 4.2" sizes?
A: The 3.2" is your finesse and clear-water option — best for pressured fish and when bass are keying on small shad. The 3.7" is the all-around size for most situations. The 4.2" is your big-water and active-feeding option when bass are chasing larger baitfish or you need more profile on FFS.

Q: What swimbait head weight works best with the Shad Shape Swimmer?
A: For the 3.2" and 3.7", 1/8 to 3/16 oz swimbait heads work well in shallow to mid-depth water. For the 4.2" or deeper presentations, 1/4 to 3/8 oz gives you better depth control and a more natural fall rate.

Q: Can I use the Shad Shape Swimmer on forward-facing sonar?
A: Absolutely — the slim profile and natural paddle tail action make it an excellent FFS bait. Rig it on a drop shot or swimbait head and watch how fish react to it on screen. The 3.2" is particularly effective for FFS presentations targeting suspended fish in clear water.

Why Buy the Yamamoto 2.5" Yamatanuki?

Hot on the heels of one of the most popular baits of 2023, the Yamamoto 2.5" Yamatanuki brings the proven power-finesse action of the 3.5" big brother into a smaller, more compact package that fish simply can't resist. At 1/4 oz, it falls with the same tantalizing sway and shimmy, fits light line and finesse setups, and opens up a whole new range of applications in clear water, smallmouth, spotted bass, and pressured fisheries. Proudly made in the USA. 8 per pack.

Main Use & Benefit

A 2.5-inch, 1/4 oz compact power-finesse bait designed for clear water, smallmouth, spotted bass, and finesse scenarios — its tantalizing sway and shimmy on the fall triggers strikes on weightless, jig head, drop shot, and finesse flipping presentations where the larger 3.5" is too big.

Problem It Solves

The 3.5" Yamatanuki is a proven tournament bait, but its larger profile can be too much for ultra-clear water, finicky smallmouth, and spotted bass that key on smaller forage. The 2.5" Yamatanuki delivers the same irresistible sway and shimmy in a compact package that can be fished on light line, skipped under docks, and presented in situations where downsizing is the only answer.

Advantages

• ✅ Same tantalizing sway and shimmy as the 3.5" Yamatanuki — in a compact 2.5" package
• ✅ 1/4 oz natural weight — casts well on light line without added weight
• ✅ Versatile — weightless, jig head, drop shot, finesse flipping, skip presentations
• ✅ Ideal for clear water, smallmouth, spotted bass, and finesse scenarios
• ✅ Proudly made in the USA — consistent, top-quality Yamamoto soft plastic
• ✅ 8 proven color options
• ✅ 8 per pack at $5.99
• ⚠️ Compact 2.5" profile — for larger forage or heavier cover, consider the 3.5" Yamatanuki

When to Choose It

Reach for the 2.5" Yamatanuki when bass are keying on smaller forage in clear water, when the 3.5" is getting short-strikes or ignored, or when you need a compact power-finesse bait that can be skipped, pitched, and fished on light line. It's the go-to for smallmouth and spotted bass in clear lakes and rivers, and for largemouth in heavily pressured clear-water fisheries.

Best Fishing Techniques

• Weightless — rig on a 1/0–2/0 EWG hook and let the 1/4 oz body fall naturally; the sway and shimmy on the fall is the primary trigger; cast, pitch, or skip under docks and laydowns
• Jig Head — thread onto a 3/16–1/4 oz round or football jig head for a swimming or hopping presentation; the compact body produces action at any retrieve speed
• Drop Shot — nose-hook on a #1 or #2 hook, 12–18" above the weight; the compact profile hovers naturally in the strike zone for finicky suspended fish
• Finesse Flipping — Texas-rig on a 1/0–2/0 EWG and flip into sparse cover, docks, and laydowns; the compact size is perfect for skipping into tight spots
• Ned Rig — thread onto a 3/16 oz Ned head for a stand-up presentation on hard bottom; the body quivers naturally on the pause

Best Conditions

• Clear water (visibility 2ft+) where a compact, natural profile is most effective
• Smallmouth and spotted bass fisheries where smaller forage is the key
• Post-frontal high pressure and slow-bite days
• Docks, laydowns, and sparse cover where skipping is required
• Year-round — especially effective in spring (pre-spawn) and fall

Best For

Key Features

• 2.5" compact profile — smaller version of the proven 3.5" Yamatanuki
• 1/4 oz natural weight — casts well on light line without added weight
• Tantalizing sway and shimmy — same irresistible fall action as the 3.5"
• Versatile rigging — weightless, jig head, drop shot, finesse flipping, Ned rig
• Made in the USA — consistent, top-quality Yamamoto soft plastic
• 8 proven color options
• 8 per pack

Tackle Express Tips

1. Skip it on light line — The 2.5" Yamatanuki's 1/4 oz weight makes it one of the easiest power-finesse baits to skip under docks and overhanging cover on 10–12 lb fluorocarbon. Rig it weightless on a 1/0 EWG and practice the sidearm skip cast — it slides under cover that most baits can't reach.
2. Green Pumpkin w/ Black Flake for clear water — Green Pumpkin w/ Black Flake (#297) is your go-to in clear water where a natural bottom-matching color is critical. Switch to Mimizu in stained water or when bass are keying on worm-colored forage, and use Baby Bass when smallmouth are targeting juvenile bass.
3. Let it fall on slack line — The Yamatanuki's sway and shimmy is most pronounced on a semi-slack line fall. After the cast, close the bail and let the bait fall on a slightly bowed line — don't pull it tight. Most strikes happen on the fall, so watch your line for any twitch or jump.

FAQ

Q: What's the difference between the 2.5" and 3.5" Yamatanuki?
A: The 2.5" is the compact, finesse-oriented version — ideal for clear water, smallmouth, spotted bass, and situations where a smaller profile gets more bites. The 3.5" has more bulk and presence for largemouth in heavier cover and stained water. Both deliver the same tantalizing sway and shimmy on the fall; choose based on forage size and water clarity.

Q: What hook size works best for the 2.5" Yamatanuki weightless?
A: A 1/0 or 2/0 EWG hook works best for weightless presentations. Use a 1/0 for a more compact, subtle profile in ultra-clear water and for skipping, and a 2/0 when you need better hook gap coverage for larger fish.

Q: How many come in a pack?
A: 8 per pack.
