Wacky O Rings provide a place to attach your hook around a soft plastic worm for a wacky presentation. Slide a ring onto the bait, then pass the hook beneath the ring instead of piercing the worm's middle. A properly fitted ring can help reduce tearing at that attachment point. Each package contains 25 O-rings.

Choose by bait fit

The selector includes options labeled “5-inch and Smaller Senkos” and “5-inch and Bigger Senkos,” plus Red and Translucent choices in the smaller-bait group. These labels are starting points: worm thickness matters as well as length, and the labels overlap at 5 inches.

Look for a ring that stays in position without cutting deeply into the plastic. A loose ring can slide off, while an overly tight one can damage the bait. If you need an exact fit for a particular worm, confirm the ring size before ordering rather than relying on bait length alone.

How to rig

A compatible wacky tool makes installation easier. Insert the worm into the tool, roll a ring from the tool onto the desired position on the worm, and withdraw the bait. Slip your hook beneath the ring, keeping the point and gap clear. Test the hold with a gentle pull before casting.

For a familiar stick-bait option, see the Yamamoto 5-inch Pro Senko. Check ring fit on the actual bait before fishing. Color is a preference; a red ring should not be assumed invisible underwater.

3 Tackle Express Tips

1. Start near the middle. Center the ring for a balanced wacky presentation, then make small placement changes if you want to alter how the bait hangs.
2. Check the grip after a fish. Inspect both ring and worm for tears or stretching. Replace a damaged ring before it releases the bait.
3. Use a smooth cast. Avoid a sharp snap that can pull a soft worm free. Check the bait is still seated correctly after the first cast.

Team Davies Tear Shot Tungsten Worm Weights are 99% tungsten and do not have a sleeve inside.  There is a lot of talk about what is better, sleeve or no sleeve.  We prefer no sleeve because the sleeve can cause abrasion on the ends but can also fall out.  When it falls out, it's rougher in the inside than it would have been had it no sleeve at all.  When it starts out with no sleeve, the inside is smooth and usually has a powder paint coating to deter any nicks or damage to your line.  We've had more problems with sleeved weights than non sleeve and Team Davies agrees.  We have never had a complaint for over 4 years and we think these are a great value for a great product.

Some anglers like the sleeve, others prefer it without.  We haven't noticed any difference between the two but maybe on light line it would cause chaffing on the line.
