The all-new Penn Fathom II 2-Speed Lever Drag Reels take a class leading reel and raise the bar even more. Attention: Penn changed the handle on the 2-Speed Fathoms from the power handle to a football handle. They also removed the ported sections of the handle to make it stronger. We have mixed stock due to this, some have the power handle and some have the football handle. The pictures have been linked to show you which handle you will be getting when you click on the variant.

The Shimano Curado BFS (Bait Finesse System) expands the Curado lineup of low-profile reels while redefining finesse fishing for tournament anglers. Inspired by the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM), the Shimano Curado BFS baitcaster utilizes an ultra-lightweight shallow spool designed for thinner diameter lines to allow anglers to cast lightweight lures more effectively than traditional low-profile models.
The Curado BFS incorporates Shimano's Finesse Tune Brake (FTB) system to reduce the spool's weight by moving the braking unit from the spool to the palming side-plate. The result: the spool takes minimal force to turn and allows anglers to effectively cast lightweight tackle.
Unlike traditional magnetic brake systems that maintain the same drag on the spool throughout the cast, Shimano's FTB capitalizes on the cast's centrifugal force and the magnetic brakes automatically adjust to slow down the spool only when braking is needed. Fully adjustable, anglers can fine-tune the FTB with the external dial or by adding or removing individual magnets as needed. The perfect antidote for picky fish, the Shimano Curado BFS is the ideal tool for anglers to downsize baits to increase their success on the water.

The Daiwa Procyon LT is lighter by weight yet strong and rigid in the LT Concept. The body is constructed from Zaion, a “high density” carbon strain material that is 20 percent stronger and 50 percent lighter than traditional nylon and aluminum.
The True Carbon Body is reduced in size and weight, yet provides a rigid framework for the powerful gearing. The well-balanced Air Rotor is 15 percent lighter than conventional rotors yet just as strong.
ATD Drag System uses a new proprietary grease that enables the reel to apply smooth and consistent start up drag pressure from the first pull. The rigid machined aluminum handle smoothly transfers power to the stout Digigears. The Digigears are accurately cut from a strong light-weight cold-forged aluminum making for a silky smooth operation.

In this model, they brought back the anti-reverse switch. Our guess at Tackle Express is that some anglers missed the ability to "back-wind" while fighting a fish. Back-winding is a method where you turn the handle the opposite directions instead of using the drag. It takes practice so be careful not to get backlashes.

Introducing the Bates Hundo Casting Reel is roughly twenty percent smaller, one hundred percent Bates with the same quality and craftsmanship you’ve come to expect.
The Bates Hundo features a gunmetal grey anodized aluminum frame, fully CNC’d from 6061-T6 bar stock on our 9 axis machine. And just to be sure there’s no gimmicks or simple metallic coatings, we’ve left a few of the machine paths roughed into the frame making the Hundo an industrial marvel.
Beyond just a smaller, 100 sized frame, this reel boasts our new dual braking system along with a shallower spool so the finesse fisherman can easily dial in lighter lines and lures. We’ve upgraded some internal components as well, including lighter aluminum gears and improved bearings, which are a combination of 10 HAC Stainless Steel bearings plus 2 high precision NMB ball bearings, and 1 one-way Stainless Steel ball bearing. If your target species or preferred rigging demands a slighter, but more fine-tuned machine, you won’t be disappointed in the Hundo.
