The Daiwa Proteus Tuna Special Rail Rod is the next evolution in big tuna rail fishing rods. Developed years ago, this technique has evolved into a much more private boat technique with the arrival of giant bluefin tuna here on the west coast. Extremely durable fore grip which is meant for resting on the rail This material is similar to tire rubber and can be moved up and down the rail without a scratch or without compressing.

The long fore grip allows you to use it for leverage along multiple axis points. Fuji HD guides and HD aluminum reel seat are incorporated with the XXXH blank specific and rigorously tested blank action painted widow black. 

All rods are shipped with extreme care and our exclusive packaging method insures that each rod gets delivered in perfect condition.  We ship same-day before 2:00 PM PST Monday thru Friday, excluding holidays.

Handled up to 150 pound bluefins in san diego with ease. Tackle express made sure i got the gear when i needed it and went above and beyond to help get me ready. Rod was put against the rail at basically full drag on the talica 25 and held up perfectly.
