The Owner Hyper Split Rings are a standard in the industry with many tackle manufacturers using them on their lures.  We like them because they are strong and come in many sizes to fit the right lure.  

 The size of the wire and the strength are ideal for small fish like trout and larger fish such as tuna.  They are easy enough to open with split ring pliers but make sure you have the right plier for your size split ring.  

They can also be added to the tie point on the lure to give it extra action.  We like to make sure the knot doesn't end up where the split in the ring is, at the right angle it could cut your line.  Tie your knot so that the split part is 45 degrees one way or the other from your tie point.  

Organizing your split rings in the right box is very important.  Find a box that has a tight seal and won't let the rings go under the dividers in the box.  It's good to have several sizes so if you bend one out on a fish, you have the same size to replace the bent one with.  Having Owner Hyper Split Rings handy will make sure your fishing day is successful.

Owner Aki Twist Bait Hooks are the standard when it comes to fishing squid in Southern California.  The long shank, offset point, and heavy gauge wire make this a big game hook that stands up to tough conditions.  For a full size squid not cut, we follow Brandon Haywards recommendation of a 7/0.  

Thread the hook through the squid 2-3 times and put it on a dropper loop or glow slider.  We like to put the hook 3 feet from the weight on the dropper loop.   For the glow sinker, let it slide all the way down to the hook.  

We often use 1/4oz, 3/8oz, and 1/2oz sliders for white seabass and yellowtail.  Try using the Billfishes Combi swivel for added security and bait action.  This unique swivel allows the bait to move 360 degrees around your main line.

Owner Mutu Circle Hooks are made using a 2X strong shank. They are rated for use up to 50lb test line. This is the preferred hook for tuna fishing in Southern California on small grade fish, say up to 60 pounds.  

This medium diameter hook doesn't damage the bait as much as a thicker hook, this allows the bait to swim more freely.  Sometimes reducing the hook size will produce more bites and this hook is still very strong even in the smaller sizes.  

Just remember to not swing the rod when you get bit, simply turn the handle on the reel until it comes tight and the line starts ripping off the reel.

Owner ST-36 Treble Hooks have a black chrome rust resistant finish.  The Super Needle Point is dang sharp right out of the box.  Many manufacturers use owner hooks on the lures including Lucky Craft so you know they are quality hooks.  

They balance perfect on hard baits without overweighting the lure and affecting the action.  This is a light wire hook so it's (1X ) strong but if you are looking for something stronger, we carry the full line including ST-41 (2X), STX-58 (3X+), and ST-46TN (4X.)

Owner Ringed Flyliner Hooks are ideal for live bait due to the close bend, looped eye, and no offset. This tighter profile lies flatter with the bait, thus minimizing the risk of the gamefish being able to pull the hook away.

Owner Single Replacement Hook XXX-Strong - Great for replacing trebles on large saltwater baits. Made with Zo-Wire, the wire strength is stronger than other traditional high carbon steel wires.
