The premium tier of the Daiwa J-Braid family, the J-Braid X8 Grand is an 8-carrier braided line spun with Izanas — a state-of-the-art high-performance fiber from Japan that delivers 4 times the abrasion resistance of a typical 4-carrier braid at the same breaking strength. The 8-carrier construction produces a rounder, more uniform line profile that lays smoothly on the spool, casts farther, and runs through guides with less friction than conventional 4-carrier braid. Strong, abrasion-resistant, and supple enough for smooth spool lay — the X8 Grand covers freshwater and saltwater applications from ultralight finesse to heavy offshore. Available in Chartreuse (6–50 lb) and Dark Green (6–65 lb).

• Chartreuse (6–50 lb) — High-visibility chartreuse for line watching, strike detection, and any application where seeing the line is an advantage. Best for freshwater bass, walleye, and situations where detecting subtle bites on slack line is critical.
• Dark Green (6–65 lb) — Natural blending in vegetation-heavy, stained, or green-water environments. Best for bass in heavy cover, freshwater fishing around grass and weeds, and saltwater applications where a low-visibility line color is preferred. Only color available in 65 lb.
