• Match the test to your mainline: A good rule of thumb is to run Gold Label at 2–3x your mainline test for most inshore and freshwater applications — the thinner diameter keeps it invisible while still providing the abrasion resistance you need near structure.
• Use a loop-to-loop or FG knot: Gold Label's low memory and soft construction make it ideal for the FG knot when connecting to braid — the supple material cinches tight without the stiffness that causes slippage in stiffer fluorocarbons.

Can I use Gold Label for freshwater applications?

The limpness is great when using Seaguar Invizx on spinning reels. This reduces memory allowing you to cast further without the curly-que effect.
