The Gamakatsu Finesse Wide Gap Weedless Hook is great for many types of finesse fishing.  We here at T.E. we use them on drop shot rigs, neko rig, and wacky rigs most often.  This hook comes in a weedless and non-weedless option for different applications.  

This weedless version is great for if you have small grass or other green growth in the lake that might cause snags or foul your hook.  The nylon weedless guard simply catches on the barb of the hook which holds it in place surprisingly well.  It's firm enough that it keeps stuff off your hook but light enough to give under a hook set.

These P-Line Rock Cod Rigs are ready to hit the water.  They include the line, swivels, hooks, and two plastic squids.  The Rock Cod Rig is a smaller version of the highly effective Ling Cod Rig. At 3.5 inches these squid are the perfect length for school sized rockfish. This version is also tied on 50 pound leader, but uses a smaller 5/0 hook. When it’s time to load the cooler with a limit of Rock Cod you’d better have one of these rigs in your arsenal.

Here at Tackle Express, we like to put a small piece of squid or some gel fish attractant on the squid.  The gel scent can be Hookup Baits Mermaid Milk, Smelly Jelly, Hot Sauce, or any kind of scent that stays on well.  We like to put it inside the squid so it releases slowly. 

Add a weight that is heavy enough to get to the depth of water you're fishing, hit the bottom and jig it up and down 3 feet at a time using the rod tip.  After a few times, send it to the bottom again since the terrain can change as the boat drifts.

Specifications

P-Line Laser Minnow has a very distinctive fall which triggers a bite from a wide variety of fish.  Simply drop it down and either wind it back at a fast pace, or pop the rod tip up and down. 

It can also be cast and retrieved like a spoon or surface iron.  Simple wind it back at a steady retrieve, too fast and it will wash out.  Too slow and it will have a lazy wander to it.

The finish is holographic and has a realistic eye to fool hungry fish into biting.  Putting a snap on the tie point will give it better action allowing it to more freely move through the water.  You can take off the stock hook and rig it with a single hook or assist hooks from the top or bottom ring.  Tying to the side with the eye and putting the assist hooks on the same side will help prevent snags when fishing the bottom.

Luhr Jensen Crippled Herring is highly effective at catching fish due to its spoon shape, which can be bent for a more unpredictable descent. Luhr Jensen Krocodile Spoons have been a staple for many years.  The fluttering action can entice fish to violently attack or just pick it up on the way down.  The retrieve has a wobble action that mimics a baitfish while it flashes the different color patterns.
