The Shimano Talica 2 Lever Drag Reel is excellent for fly-lining live baits. This two speed reel is is very powerful and by far the smoothest reel we've ever used. Put one in your hand and you'll see that there are few reels if any than compare to the Shimano Talica 2.
We also know, from our successes with HEG (High Efficiency Gearing) in our Star Drag reels, that we could make the ultimate 2-Speed: one with fast line pickup compared to traditional 2-speeds but with unbelievable crank power in either gear ratio. So when you drop it into low on a circling Tuna at deep color, instead of gaining a couple inches, you are gaining around 2 feet.

The Talica 20ii CAM and the Talica 25ii CAM both come with the Mono Drag Cam for the light line on big fish. This is usually used for billfish when light line and more capacity are desired. For most anglers, the cam that is installed at the time of purchase is well suited for most fishing applications.
